Need help with ID of this one - east Texas. My initial thoughts are juvenile Texas rat snake but the online images all have bigger brown patches similar to adult Texas rats

Saw several again but only one pic worth posting, water snake just chilling.

Friend in the neighborhood sent me this pic, they have a pool and back up to a greenbelt. Pretty snake that surely has had its share of frogs

Another good post, a garter snake. Location? They have a pretty restricted range in Texas.

Wylie/Collin county. Don't see them often that's for sure. We have lots of green belts and overflow creeks where lots of frogs hang out. Only seen them there around houses.

Saw another 2 PBWS today, just by pure chance walking over the creek when they were swimming across. Love this time of year in this neighborhood

Sometimes you rednecks that kill every snake that you see make things worse on your property. If you have ever said to me "the only good snake is a dead one" in the past, and I gave you this look > just know that it's because I thought you were a dummy."

I don't usually kill snakes but my daughter stepped on this guy yesterday while we were picking dewberries. Didn't bite her but we are planning on picking more in that area until the season is over. I've been working hard on teaching my girls not to freak out every time they see a snake or spider but I think this set us back.

That's a good sized copperhead for a little girl to step on!

Figured this would be the place ask the experts.. thinking it's a Bull snake? In kerrville. Hopefully the picture works, never done this before.

Unless it's a lot bigger than it looks in the picture, that's a Checkered Garter Snake.

They are usually pretty friendly and docile.

Not a snake but I always love finding these grey tree frogs. One of the coolest looking patterns in nature imo.

Never seen one bit love tree frogs.

My favorite tree frogs. I can never reliably tell between the Gray treefrog Dryophytes versicolor and Cope's gray treefrog Dryophytes chrysoscelis. But both are awesome. I'd guess that one is Cope's but I would definitely be guessing.

Yea when I looked it up when I caught the last one I believe it was a copes so assume this one is too seeing as I caught it in the same area. They are my favorite frog as well. Absolutely love the pattern and I didn't even know they existed until I bought my current house.

We get quite a few of those at the family place out in Comal county. They always seem to be in weird places. Hanging plant pots, golden fronted woodpecker holes, etc.

I don't recall on the last one but this one had bright yellow/orange under his back legs with black hexagon patterns. I wish I would have taken a photo.

I also found this one under a planter that the wind knocked over.
