I didn't need to read that they may have beignets. That location is within running distance of home.

Yep, we need another coffee place to go along with the plethora of chicken strip and nail salons!
I bet it kills it with all the students there. So many walk across the street to that gas station every morning and during lunch.
yep - there's always hundreds of kids running in and out of that gas station before and after school

Great, now they'll be all hopped up on caffeine and powdered sugar.

I don't recall seeing this one posted.

La Bougainvillea, Kitchen and Lounge, Cafe and Bakery

labougbcs.com

On the west side of Texas Ave in Bryan, a little north of Villa Maria. (Plan around the medians.)

9:30am-2:00pm Tuesday-Sunday

Bryan Mr Hamburger. Went there once. Cashier was handling money and food. Zero regard for food safety, and never went back.

Established pizza place in town. Water was leaking onto the buffet line. When I told the manager, he said, yep, AC leak. Never went back.

You gotta be onsite if you own a restaurant or have managers that care.

Wow, and I didn't even realize they were building one at Southern Point.

Glad to see some nice, clean gas stations in this town finally.

If you are that bothered by stuff like that, you probably shouldn't go into the kitchen of just about any restaurant out there.

Is Mojo Taco open yet?

No
The sign out front says coming Summer 2025. Summer technically starts July 1st. I guess they have until September 30th to open and keep their promised time frame. I'm guessing one of the owners will pop in here soon and give us an update.

Hi all here's the latest on Mojo Tortilla Co.. We were slated to open July 1st but hit an unforeseen snag with permitting. We are currently waiting on comments from the City as we submitted plans 10 days ago.

Based on prior experience and other factors we have reset the target for -August 1.

For the record, and this is based on experience, the best times to open in CS are June/July.

The city is slowing down progress for a locally owned business?

That can't be right…

Thanks for the interest. We do have a 95% final iteration. We are not ready to share specific items. We are willing however to share a fact sheet of "things we do".

Handmade fresh 7 inch tortillas that go straight from griddle to taco. They won't sit around like a tortilla machine or how some places let theirs sit before service.

Drive thru for convenience with 3 modes of access to the property, The southbound left hand turn off texas is dedicated with a median cut. Access is way more simple than several other very popular drive thrus in town.

Puffy tacos. The San Antonio classic.

Chargrilled meats. We have a hog of a chargrill and will cook the meats with care.

Breakfast tacos served all day. We have the standards plus a unique signature menu.

6am-10pm daily with the intent of eventually going 24 hours.

Robust catering.

A "choose your protein" section to go with our tacos classicos. You craft your taco with the style of set up and protein.

Yes. All of our restaurants have always been 7 days and this one will follow suit.

Are the tortillas seed oil free? My wife and I are eating that way, and it's difficult to find.

No seed oil in the recipe. I presume others may be using seed oil to save $.

What about the salsa? Same as La Budega or different?

We loved the salsa at Costa Vida and are looking for a goto replacement.

Here is a money saver: stop putting corn in your pico. Corn does not belong in pico.

Mojo Tortilla Co. will be more of a taco shop vibe and model and not Baja and so alternative as Bodega. So, different salsa, classic pico etc…

Seems like a common practice. Wonder if that's what's holding up the Javis out of Tyler going into the Red Lobster location. They announced it 9 months back and I see nothing happening in that building. The city will rush to sell a parking lot for development but slow down permits to businesses. Don't get me started on the damn medians and how it's hurt businesses.
