I tried this place today and it was pretty good. It seems risky but I hope moving to the mall works out for them. They said they'd still have the food truck for catering etc.
Drove by Chicken Oil today - they are putting up lights in the new parking lot and the wood on the new part of the building is starting to weather and turn gray to match the old part. Can't wait to go back for a double meat double cheese death burger!

Any updates about when Mojo Tortilla Co is opening? Last I read, they estimated an August 1 opening date .
We FINALLY got our permit for the additional venthood for the chargrilled meats about a week ago. During the application process we found out in the 11th hour that we would have to tear up the exterior wall and redo it to pass inspection. So, we just demo'd it and are proceeding accordingly.
All things considered, I suspect at this juncture a September 1 opening would be hopeful and a Sept 15th opening would be realistic. Strategically this is not at all when we like to open. We've always planned summers for openings as it's the preferred strategy.
Over the last 25 years we have had a couple openings delay into October for a variety of reasons. At the end of the day we just adapt and open when we can. It always works out but it's infuriating when plans are disrupted and a project costs multiple of thousands of dollars more due to things beyond our control.
It's just life, whistle your way through it.

It has been mentioned on this board. Sounds VERY expensive indeed.
BCS is a very expensive place to retire. Congratulations to those that were able to do so.

I would respectfully disagree. We moved here a few years ago and have found it very affordable compared to the suburbs of DFW(Allen).

It was my plan forever but when the time came I found it very expensive and moved to Phoenix instead.

I was in San Antonio the past week and it's miserable. I'll take 115 every day.

I know. I lived in Texas 66 years. Headed back to Phoenix today. Supposed to be 116 the rest of the week but it's better than high humidity and 95.

Been a Taco Bar fan since they opened. Glad they're still around.
Not sure when you were last there but they moved to a new location a few years ago. They are off University now.
been about 2.5 years and they had moved as I recall. Nice people.

I'm exactly the demo for that heb. I don't buy a bunch of non sustainable stuff for the other places to want me as a customer.
