What was that building next door used for? For as long as I can remember going to Chicken Oil, that building was always vacant.

It was a bar for a while.

I heard it was for storage for DC/Chicken Oil and that it was full of brown recluse spiders

It was a bar in the 90s. I know that for sure. I would not be surprised if Crazy Don bought it to stash more rusty old signs, mediocre taxidermy, and stuff...

I feel like it was a bbq place at one time but I could be wrong.

It was Brazos Hall, and Don opened it as an event venue. For whatever reason, it didn't last and became storage for DCInc.

The building was originally Triangle Drive in and Steakhouse in the 1950s. Built by Joe Fererri.

The video Rusty posted has profanity, which is frowned upon by staff.

Randy Sims is where Jose's now (the exit and entrance signs are original). J. Cody's was built as Tom's BBQ in the mid-1980s and closed in 2001; they opened not too long after.

Lassie's Pet Grooming near Kumon / Knight Club is fairly new.
They took one of my troublesome dogs and had no issues with him.

I notice the tractor and round hay bale storage crammed up against Kesco today. It's likely been that way a while, just remarking the randomness of hay, stacked storage containers, smoker that mimics an old car, used/ junker cars, used trash tire pile in the back, etc.

Knocking it out of the park. Guess they're not concerned with how city gateways look.

Agreed. But a certain city council thinks Post Oak Mall is a city gateway, so, it means whatever the person. Saying it says it means.
