Yep, went through MEM yesterday and it was just going at a snails pace with the new machines

Just went through E security. Still working out kinks…. 40 people in precheck. Took right at 22 min with one lane open. Hold up was the TSA guy on the xray with the new automatic tray machines

If those are finally coming to IAH then yes, expect much slower times getting thru the line. I fly out of BHM a lot and it's always a cluster as you scan your ID, get thru that line, then bottleneck waiting to put your bag in the container, walk thru the detector and then the fun really begins. Everyone backs up in between the screening area and the scanner. Each bag has to be cleared individually.

I've flown into BHM a few times over the past couple years. My main gripe there is that every single time it takes at least 20 minutes for their damn ground crew to pull the plane into the gate, so damn frustrating.

Same in Austin. New machines and tray systems just seem to confuse people and the xray operation is much slower.

What's the play for flying internationally out of D? It doesn't look like they have Clear, so am I better off going through security that does and heading to D?

They've only got the 3 gates it's quite fun late at night and then your gate check you've always got to go to baggage claim
Just park on the curb at departures and leave your flashers on.redaszag99 said:
My daughter is flying out of Terminal C tomorrow and someone needs to walk her to Security to meet her school group.
Where is the best place to park to do this? Need to be at security at 6AM.

- Female announcer: No, the white zone is for loading of passengers and there is no stopping in a RED zone.
- Male announcer: The red zone has always been for loading and unloading of passengers. There's never stopping in a white zone.
- Female announcer: Don't you tell me which zone is for loading, and which zone is for stopping!
- Male announcer: Listen, Betty, don't start up with your white zone **** again.

- Male announcer: There's just no stopping in a white zone.
- Female announcer: Oh, really, Vernon? Why pretend, we both know perfectly well what this is about. You want me to have an abortion.
- Male announcer: It's really the only sensible thing to do if it's done properly. Therapeutically there's no danger involved.
Believe me, the thought has crossed my mind. I'm tempted to tell her mother that I am walking her in and then drop her on the curb and point her the right direction.WES2006AG said:Just park on the curb at departures and leave your flashers on.redaszag99 said:

I'll Bump this after still not receiving a reply from the Houston Airport System. The contractor SPPlus finally sent a poorly written email without any evidence or proof of their claim we had ALL parked in a closed area- the 7th floor.Mas89 said:
Parked in the terminal D parking garage on Feb 11 and returned Feb 15. Our car and all the others on the 7th floor had been towed to the eco parking lot on JFK. We finally found this out from a city of Houston customer service rep after 3 hours of searching for our car and going to terminal A offices finally. Luckily, I had taken a photo of the nearest parking garage sign after parking. The contractors who run the garage- SP+ , Houston police at the airport, and the city of Houston all had no knowledge of the cars towed….
After a week of calling and emailing, I still haven't gotten an answer on being reimbursed for the tow fee.

Thanks, y'all. Train could be a good option. I assume it's easy enough to get from E to C now? No problem with clearing security there and walking through the terminals?
Reach out to Channel 2 and their investigative team. They will get you paid.Mas89 said:I'll Bump this after still not receiving a reply from the Houston Airport System. My follow up questions and emails, along with texts to the city of Houston customer service rep Clarke were never returned.
I'll never park at the terminal again. Complete incompetence with city employees and contractors.

You can just walk E to C, very easy
