I think Spirit flies out of Terminal A.Jock 07 said:Milwaukees Best Light said:

This entire post was for a humble brag about going to the derby. Very subtle. Well played.
There was a time when I would envy someone bragging about going to the Kentucky derby. Didn't ever make time to go myself. Now the concept of going somewhere to dress up fancy boy style when i could be traveling and chasing meaningful pursuits is foreign to me.MAROON said:
headed to Kabul (I mean Bush) in the very early am tomorrow. Have to check-in in C then train to B for United. Yes, we have to check bags - heading to the Derby and have clothes out the wazoo. I'll report back about the carnage. Hoping we are there so early (arriving at like 6:30) that we get a jump on a lot of the crowd.

But if that's what the woman dictates, so be it.
I pity the poor bastar** who have to check a bag for a short ass flight and can't properly pack the "good" clothes in a carry on like a normal serious traveler with business attire. Reclaim thy sack and thy testes from yon wife and do better.

Someone doesn't have size 13 shoes.
That is why for the United RJs they take your carryon at the gate and give it back to you at the gate when you land.MAROON said:
"Chasing meaningful pursuits". Lighten up Francis.
Regional jets don't have room for bags. Plus people who hail all their **** on the plane are the worry. Anything carried than a laptop and a WSJ under your arm is vulgar.
Outside of the Mon/Tues AM business travel, it's been pretty easy for me latelyMAROON said:
10 minutes through tsa pre check at 6:00 this morning. Airport arrival better than Kabul now that they have finished some of the construction.

Went through with clear really fast and was through customs in about 30 seconds so no issues there for me.

For all the time and money spent renovating E, we are at E11 and there are multiple seats at the gate that are absolutely destroyed. Huge tears in the vinyl and the foam stuffing is coming out.
Also the mirror in the women's restroom by secure is held up with duct tape.
Part of me thinks this is entirely appropriate for Houston.

They didn't actually renovate things to make it more comfortable!
Must have run a few Spirit flights out of there for some reason.TXTransplant said:

Terminal E was built 20 years ago. Don't think they have had a remodel since then.TXTransplant said:

Terminal C isn't new is it?Quo Vadis? said:
Okay I gotta give them props the new terminal c is pretty awesome.
The United club outside C34 is huge and has a great bar and breakfast taco buffet.
The new check in process is almost completely self service but takes a fraction of the time, and for whatever reason we sped through security check as well
