I'd probably get there between 4:15 and 4:30 but I also hate about stressing. If you are parking and need to walk a bit, go for 4:15. If you are getting dropped, 4:30.

If departing from C, is it ok now to go though C? Is it not as big of a mess as it was earlier in the year?
Earlier in the year I went through A then the sky train to C.

Went through C yesterday and was in like 5 min total with pre check. It's really only a challenge during peak business travel times

Report: the shuttle parking in eco park is a disaster. No bus shelter or real place to board. They just drive through the lots, busses specific to terminals so it's like hunting an Easter egg. Complete coke head sat behind us snorting non stop.

No one speaks English. Airport was fine, security took 10 min. It was starting to really pick up so GL and may the odds be ever in your favor.

Glad my OCD got us here early. Got to gate 15 min prior to boarding…next stop Hawaii

Ecopark busses are always like that - because they guide you where to park, there is usually a bus ready to pick you up quickly. The real problem is on the way back, because you might be sitting on the bus for a while for them to get to your parking space. But it's cheap if you prebook!

If I don't Uber to the airport I use Parking Spot. You do generally get a bus quickly as, like the others the tell you where to go so the busses are only picking up on one or two rows. Then there's the knuckleheads that can't read and park on the wrong rows, walk away from their parking spot (they want to write your spot # down), and generally lack brains...

At least all of the Parking Spot is covered... My only annoyance is that they drop you downstairs at arrivals rather than the departure side. For the really early flights United's express bag drop at C isn't open yet. Means I'm frequently dragging 2 -- 50lb bags upstairs (work).

The main reason we always reserve covered ecopark is because the bus drops those people off first when you're returning.

Flying out of A this morning. Easy breezy getting to the AB parking garage and walking in the terminal.

I swear, some of you act like sips. Any little inconvenience is treated like a terrible calamity that only an act of God can get you through.

I've parked at Eco Park plenty of times and never had a problem.

If you want concierge service, fly private.

Sorry I hurt your feelings…

Was just sharing my experience with the guy that didn't speak a lick of English who kept putting a cone in front of our row so busses would by pass it

But yes, next time we'll just valet Debbie Downer

I think having everyone walk 2 miles to a bus shelter would make a lot more sense than having the buses come to you

yeah I flew to NYC last week and walked right through security with pre check, but even the regular line was pretty short. This was Sat. morning so off-peak time.

last time I did the Spot 1 I had to sit and watch 3 Spot 2 busses and 2 Spot JFK busses come by before my Spot location did.

That was for what like $16 per day? F that. Adding 45 minutes to my arrival time is more than a "little inconvenience" to me. I'll pay $30 per day at valet and walk right to my car and leave.

CDE garage had a line a mile long this morning. It was reservation-only so they had people checking each vehicle before they could exit the terminal road for the garage to make certain they had a reservation. And because it bottle necks to a single vehicle as you exit before you hit the double-gated entrance, if one car wasn't prepared to prove they had a reservation, we all just sit there. They finally started walking down the line of cars checking and apologizing the first car "couldn't find they reservation".

Had reservation for C - not good enough - sent everyone to A even if you had reservation for C. Seinfeld had something to say about this.
Then sky tram stalls midway between A and C without air conditioning. Stuck for 20 minutes. Pilot standing next to me says "well at least my plane's not leaving without me." Good times.

I've had it. It's real and it's spectacular.

Meanwhile I was there 4 hours last night and cancelled. Decided to postpone a week as they couldn't get me within a train ride of NY until Wednesday. Had to go back today and fetch my suitcase. Another 3 hours to locate it.

We had a reservation for C last week. Got in but it was terrible. All of the space counters were off. People were circling floors that showed 15+ spaces available when there were really 0. Even the roof showed like 80+ when there were probably only 20 open spots. Also, I do feel like if you're charging everyone for "garage" parking the roof should be covered.

But when we landed on the 13th the roof was absolutely empty.

I pretty much just park in A/B garage no matter what terminal or what my bag situation is. It's just less drama.
I will say the license plate readers are the deal.

When flying with a family, including a 1 year old, and checking a bag, it's just easier parking at C if that's where you're flying out of. Also, when I made my reservation A/B showed far less availability.

Agree on the license plate readers.

Had an early AM flight out of C this morning.

Did EcoPark JFK and my shuttle driver did speak English. Checked in at E to avoid the madness of C and walked over.

Zero issue with bag drop or Clear.

Thought I would add a data point.

Gotta give props to the United App

Told me our gate was E, but to go thru C to get thru security than as short walk to E.

Wife of course questions this whole strategy while driving up to drop off. Her parents always hand me the keys (they're old and don't like to drive much, especially BW8 and the airport). "Are you SURE, E is right there, why are we going this way..." I guess it was good her parents were in the car b/c I'd have for sure at some point said "please shut up, when are my directions ever wrong miss I can't remember how to get anywhere?"

Anyway, walked right thru security and our gate E# was right there.

FTR; Love my wife to the moon and back. Just after 33 years and one of my assigned spouse job is directions and navigation it's a little frustrating to be questioned. It would be like me telling her how to cook. Huge no go zone!

Just made it through security in A. The TSA Pre line was a breeze but there were a ton of people in the regular security line. More than you would expect for before 5am.

Anyone know what to expect from D on a Sunday afternoon these days? Taking a KLM flight out, presume that's where it'll be.
