I refused to stay in A so went over to c and walked through e to kill some time. Everything was surprisingly empty. Maybe just caught a weird time, but I would have thought way more traffic for spring break.
E security was open and not busy.
I am proud to support the proposal to rename Terminal E at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in honor of the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.

This tribute is well-deserved and recognizes her commitment to Houston.
Let’s get this done!

I would rather not it be renamed.

I'd say this is more valid for Terminal A instead of E
Spring Break travel is going to be heavy Spirit, Frontier, etc.wessimo said:
Odd... A/B 99% full and CDE only 68%. Opposite of typical levels.
That whole open air airport things works for them with their climate out there, but it is just weird for the most part.swimmerbabe11 said:
C was fine. palm springs airport was a shhhshow coming back though. we have nothing to complain about.
never been, is it real small like Santa Barbara?swimmerbabe11 said:

It is small, but nicer than Santa Barbara. The weirdness is that the gate areas are indoors and the checkin/baggage claim is indoors. But the areas in between are kind of an open air atrium with partial overhead covers draped over parts of it. It is great when the temps are mid 80s and dry air, but when it is raining or it is 110F, it is kind of annoying.bularry said:never been, is it real small like Santa Barbara?swimmerbabe11 said:

That airport cracks me up, just dump you out on tarmac and walk up to some old building and luggage is just kinda scattered around.

My husband is at the airport this morning and says the only parking reservation was Eco Park. Waited 40 min for a shuttle and will likely miss his flight. Parking full at all the terminals. An absolute s@ show.
I have a reservation in A tomorrow…wondering if I should just Uber instead.

Quick update... I flew out of C last friday and came back last night. I parked at A due to space and easier in and out. I wound up having to gate check my bag so had to take the Mickey train to get back to A. All in all it was fine, but even with B closed the train still stops there. For some reason it takes longer to clear out of of B with nothing happening than any other stop.
The train stops but the doors don't open. Also, it takes longer there without the doors opening than it does at every other stop where people are actually getting on and off.ktownag08 said:CowtownAg06 said:

B gates aren't closed so people still need to stop there. The check in area is just closed.
You'll essentially just walk through a white tunnel to the gate area if you have a flight in/out of B gates.
