Flew out of A at 6AM today. Traffic wasn't bad. TSA PreCheck backed up a good bit. CLEAR for the win this morning!

Ha. I'm dropping my 65yo mom and 90yo grandma at IAH Thursday for their flight back to Amarillo. Been dropping them at terminal A or B when they come down because those are more manageable for panhandle folks. Definitely tossing them to the Terminal C wolves on account of this cluster-f!
It seems like my days of parking in A/B and taking the sky train to C/D/E are over...

This is the largest airport in the United States 4th largest city and this is the best they can come up with...
Thankfully I'm home this week, but at airport the next two. Maybe it gets smoothed out or changed again (for the better) by then.

Hate to tell you, but the traffic flow at IAH was a joke before construction. Name me another major airport where the main entrance to the airport runs you through two ridiculous traffic lights before you even get onto the airport property.
At some point that road was going to close. I'm not sure what other options there are other than to create this loop.
Be AWARE, avoided checking in with Air Canada (used the app) in the fall and at the gate they made me check my bag (that was rated international)! Then got on the plane and people with the exact same bag size were putting them in the overhead. I WAS FURIOUS!

Have only flown out of there a few times, so didn't know. But yeah, great company.
All I know is I rage every time I exit onto JFK and have to wait through two lights to get to the airport, or even worse, when I have to do it at the end of the trip when I all want to do is get home.
Yeah the lights, rental car, the horseshoe at LAX edge out IAH on terribleness
How much more do they need to **** up IAH before we're just better off driving to DFW?

I did it at 0615 today, wasn't that bad. Seems like most people are avoiding A/B.
I've switched back to parking in terminal A and sky train to C or E. Valet at C has been comically bad. Also security at C is a sh*tshow, seems like they are constantly changing it intentionally to mess with things.
Not a lot of precheck with the poors in A. Saved 15 min by parking at a and train to C today.

Correct… there's no United bag drop in Terminal A.

Check the tsa lines via the link above and pick the shortest out of C/D/E. Train is quick no matter what

Saw that this morning and really like the Van Halen flying VH on there!!
Also, PSA that the A North security EXIT is closed. The only exit from A is now on the feral, er, I mean south side of A.

Yeah, I got back late one night after sitting on the tarmac for an extra 20 min, and walked all the way around to find that double nut punch.
Yeah got back from Dallas last night and there were 6 or so of us who turned the corner and were kinda stunned. Honestly kinda felt a little like we were trapped.
Been sitting at the gate for 20 min after arrival now because there's nobody to operate the jet bridge. Awesome job as always IAH

I feel your pain that **** is infuriating. Worst I've ever seen it was at Birmingham with literally not a single other plane pushing back or coming in. Every damn time.

Yep just experienced the surprise A north exit closed a little bit ago. 4 of us almost ran into each other. Then BOTH down escalators to parking were out of order with one being blocked with the maintenance gate
Had the A exit surprise too. Pissed me the F off!

Not depending IAH, but that **** happens everywhere. Had it happen 3 seperate times while traveling last week.

Yea that is dependent on how many flights are arriving at the same time. They try to cram them in to tight windows and make sure ground people aren't standing around. A lot of small airports will have all scheduled arrivals and departures in a 4 hour window.
Back at IAH and traffic is backed up for both A and CDE split on the main road. Cluster…
Was backed up all the way to JFK last night at 7 pm.
