Arrived 7:45. Gate was changed to E so went through security there in about 5 minutes. Gate then changed back to C so had to hike over there but with plenty of time. All in all, it felt much better than the last time I flew out of IAH a few months ago.

Glad it was smooth for you. Landed tonight at 8. 40 minutes on the runway waiting for a gate. Baggage took a while and then only 2 of the for elevators in baggage claim were working. One out of order, one had people stuck inside waiting for HFD.

Oh and my son left his phone on the pane so we'll see how that goes.

Stuck in an Iah elevator is a special level of hell

Yeah I avoid elevators there if I can help it. Or most places really.

Imagine standing there at the elevators alone. Hit the up button to go to 4. An Indian family with 100 suitcases roll up. Elevator dings, opens up, they all immediately walk in and fill it up.

Flying international tomorrow morning boarding at 9:00 AM from Terminal D. Doing a car service with no checked bags and have TSA Precheck. Is 2 hours early enough time?

Re-read this and thought departure was at 9, not boarding. I'd show up 30-60 min before boarding if you don't have a checked bag unless you want to get loaded up on mimosas before you go

Got in last night at midnight in terminal D. Baggage was in terminal A. I never check bags, but we had to check my daughter's climbing equipment. We went to the train, and it was out of service. So we left security and went down to the subway. Also out of service. So we had a 20 minute walk through a mostly dark tunnel, me hauling our carry-ons, and my daughter in her wheelchair. Houston is a 4th world country. Blackhawk Down is better air travel than going through IAH. If I were Hobby, I'd rent billboards on Will Clayton telling people to stop flying out of the hellhole they're driving towards. I'm in Kingwood, and I can get in and out of Hobby better than IAH, and I don't have to deal with the ICE/DHS rejects in the pick-up area yelling at me while I try to load a wheelchair into a car after narrowly surviving level 6 on Frogger.

Baggage was at Terminal A? Never seen that happen...pretty sure C is the only baggage claim.

Sucks about the trains though

Yeah, and Frontier flies out of a "D Gate"… that's actually in Terminal C. WTF is that? We figured that out the hard way… luckily we had a little time to get back to C to get to our D Gate.

Makes total sense… thanks IAH!

United is crap. Only difference is when they cancel your flight, there's another one leaving sooner. I know there are a lot of sentimental Continental folks around here, but that was a long time ago. My Frontier plane arrived half an hour late to Denver, but still got everybody off, loaded all of us, and arrived in Mogadishu 30 minutes early. I didn't get a 2" Stroopwaffle, but I have a good therapist for that.
