Yes, but the goalie REALLY sold the contract and went all the way to the ground from pretty minimal contact. Probably wouldn't have been called otherwise.

100%. Looked like a set pick play to me. I don't think the knockdown was intentional but he did knock him over and affect keeper's ability to make the play.

As someone who knows nothing about soccer, when they scored my first thought was, "Are they allowed to knock the Goal Keeper down like that?'
I think one of the announcers said he thought it was a penalty, the other wasn't so sure, but as someone who only watches World Cup Soccer, it seemed obvious to me.
Was waiting on that stat. The fourth biggest upset in the knockout rounds per FIFA rankings.
France is going to beat those guys like USA did. Germany just doesn't have it.

Germany had been warned for interfering with goalie earlier in the game. That was probably on ref's mind. And Paraguay probably said something before the kick. "they're getting into our goalie".

If his arms were up high, maybe he'd have gotten away with it. But you can see his arm around the keeper in the replays (not grabbing and holding, but still around him). Hard to ignore that.
