I do hope we get one of the non-English commentating teams for Mexico-England

The amount of flopping by Mexico in that match is going to be unbelievable. They cannot stand toe to toe with England so they'll make it as ugly as possible and pray the ref plays into their antics.
This is where playing at home might work against them. Their **** fans will not let them get away with a defensive mindset.AustinScubaAg said:carl spacklers hat said:Danny Vermin said:

Will mexico be pragmatic? If not England can likely win. England look bad when teams park the bus.

Kane opens the scoring for the limeys. There are some nervy moments as Congo finds an equalizer, but England pulls away late, 3-1.

Is Lamine Yamal the only superstar that hasn't shown up in this WC? I guess you could argue several other England stars haven't, but Jude at least has a goal or 2. I don't think Rashford or Saka, etc. would be considered superstar level.

The 18-year-old forward slid in at the far post to touch home a low cross for the opening goal in Atlanta. He became the eighth youngest scorer in World Cup history

does England have any idea as to the atmosphere and nastiness they are going to experience against Mexico?

Did the crowd bust out in Country Roads?
This is probably a cynical take, but I think folks are bound and determined to have a damn good time since they paid so much money to go.tysker said:
Has there ever been so much team + fan interaction in a tournament like this?
You can tell the players are having as much fun as the fans. It really has added to the greatness of this tournament
You really are playing for more when you put on that national team jersey

They played it after another game in mexico. Thought that was weird since US played it after the Australia win.

Make no mistake that the Mexico counter could wreck England. Especially if they keep starting Spence at RB. Quinones will have a field day there.
Mexico is the only team to not give up a goal so far, but they've all their games be against teams that have struggled to score at all.

That's 100% a dive and simulation. He's dragging his feet and going stiff before he comes anywhere close to the GK. That's not embellishment. It's an attempt to deceive.

Maybe Harry Kane is just clumsy.
