I watched the second half. They just don't go away. Their defense was menacing. Also, as good as Donovan Mitchell played he did everything he could to lose it in the last few minutes. Guess you can take the star out of Utah, but can't take Utah out of the star

Degree of difficulty is way up when 3 of their top 6 players are out injured. Mobley, Garland, and Hunter.

Steph and and Warriors were playing like they had been swinging a bat with a 5lb weight on it and they removed the weight.


Minnesota can have a decent defense but then Houston Hyenas aren't ravaging them every second anymore and they came out slinging shots

We'll see if Steph going out turns the game. Expecting Butler to take over.

Without the Rockets being involved I'm super torn.. love Ant… love love Butler… really like Steph and the warriors. Love Jokic… really love how OKC has built their team.

Could just be posturing, but could also be a sign they think the young core will continue to improve and be enough. From a fans perspective, we need a legit scoring threat that is consistent. Doesn't have to be a top 5 or even top 10 player in the league, but I think it limits our ceiling to just keep rolling with what we have.

Better be posturing for trade value. If we run it back I will be extremely disappointed. Green will have even more pressure on him to perform
If he comes back next year. And if he lays another egg in the playoffs or doesn't improve then trade value really tanks

He's not THAT much more of a defensive liability than FVV is.

I'm just curious why the strong reactions against him?


He doesn't seem like an Ime guy at all, so it doesn't matter. I'm just curious why people feel that strongly opposed to him.

Only way this works is if Amen is all of a sudden a volume >35% 3 pt shooter next year and averages 25 ppg or Jalen puts on 25 pounds and becomes an unscared physical force.

He's significant worse than Fred defensively. He also only shot 41/34 this year.

Go watch the last position on defense of the playin game where he got isolated. He just sat there and did nothing, didn't box out and is the reason ATL lost. It was awful. Harden was/is a better and more attentive defender

Amen and Steph wore each other out. Amen gave out in game 7 and steph broke down in the next game.

Amazing matchup during that series. Incredibly impressed with Amen throughout.

Because he's a net negative player. He wants to be a Curry type shooter, but he sucks at shooting. He dominates the ball and fails to get others involved until he can't do anything else and the shot clock is wound down to nothing. He doesn't play defense. ATL will be better when he's not on the team anymore.

We'll keep Jalen Green and the potential over the known commodity of Trae Young. If the trade had to be made, I'd prefer we just give them Jalen Green for free lol

You ship Green out and you figure out some combination of Amen, Flagg, Jabari/Eason. Amen can be the 1 if you need, doesn't really matter. You have 2 creators, a bunch of dogs on defense. If Sheppard figures it out you have 3 creators and a lights out shooter, or you go find one and you sit back and watch. Error on the side of all of that potential figuring it out.

And it's a terrible comparison. Thompson is an athletic freak and top 3 defender in the league without a reliable outside shot. Flagg is an athletic big body who can stretch the floor and be "the guy". He's Green with more talent, more skills, and likely more clutch backbone. Pair Flagg with Thompson and we would be insanely hard to beat.

On Bill Simmons' Rewatchables podcast they did a 2-parter on Star Wars last week.

Bill compared all the time spent with just R2 and 3PO on the screen to watching Jalen Green run the Rockets' offense - why is this happening and when is it going to be over?
