Rigged BS...

I'm not to high on any of the players that might land at 10. It's probably best to trade the pick. Maybe we can get a decent return if we package Cam and Jock (salary filler) with it.

I don't think Cam and Jock have any value.

I think Jeremiah fears is going to be a good point guard and you could have him learn under Fred for a couple years before taking over that role.

Kon and Tre are likely gone and they're the only two real proven shooters. Jase is too small.

I like Carter Bryant a lot as a D & 3 wing but he has a lot of developing left. 37% from three

If they have a guy they like, can they package the #10 pick and Reed to move up a few spots?

They could, but I think Utah takes Kon at 5.

Tre Johnson is going to be one of the worst in the league defensively - seems to not mesh with Udoka's philosophy. He has the defensive understanding and effort of a bag of rocks.

The player that I think fits the best for the Rockets is is VJ Edgecombe, but don't think Charlotte would do Reed+10 for VJ.

5: Utah - Kon - white guy from Duke
6: Washington - Queen fits nicely with Sarr and Bilal.
7. Pelicans - Maybe Fears to replace DeJounte. Maybe Malauch to pair with Missi. I think they might entertain Zion trades, though.
8. Brooklyn - Tre Johnson seems like the same as Cam Thomas, but he might be the BPA. Queen might fit here if Washington takes Johnson to create more scoring.
9. Toronto - 100% Malauch if he is on the board to pair with Poeltl

So I think the options are probably:
PG Fears if NOLA, Washington, and Brooklyn pass on him. (Questionable shot, slightly below ideal size)
PG Kasparas (streaky shot, no defense)
PF Collin Murray-Boyles (no shot, undersized)
SF Carter Bryant 37% from three, D&3 guy
PG Jase Richardson - 6'0 Jason Terry
PG: Egor Demin - no shot, no defense, but 6'9 190lb PG
Wing: Nique Clifford - ready to play now at 23yo, limited ceiling, but great stats for mid-major Colorado St. Could be Josh Hart with a shot
PG: Nolan Traore - high risk high reward PG that wont be ready to start for 3+ years if ever
Wing: Will Riley 6'8 barefoot streaky shooter
Wing: Cedric Coward put up nice numbers, but at Wazzu. D&3 with nice shot
PF: Yaxel Lendeborg: great body, put up huge numbers, but at UAB.

I'm assuming Kon, Tre, and Maluach are all gone by 10. Outside of the top 4, those were the 3 that I thought might actually be really intriguing prospects.

Not that enamored with Fears. He has a decent free throw percentage, so he seems like he could improve as a shooter. He is also lightening quick; however, he is one of the least efficient players you'll find in the draft: 43% FG%, 28% from 3, almost an equal assist to TO ratio. Too many times he blows by his man, just to smoke a lay-up...him and Sengun on the floor together might kill me. He is also a poor defender, so I think Ime would strangle him at some point. At the moment, the front office is prioritizing Reed in the Fred understudy role, so I doubt they pick up another project PG. If they don't think Reed is that guy, then they should package Reed with Cam and the pick to sweeten the deal.

Carter Bryant I (might) like a bit more. He is raw and has great potential with his size. I just don't feel like there is enough tape to easily evaluate him since he struggled for minutes, which itself is worrisome.

One guy I do like if we sit at 10 is Collin Murray-Boyles. He has a real Draymond-esque game that could be useful. He isn't a very good outside shooter, so its not clear to me where he will end up in the draft. I think he has the instincts and physicality to defend a wide range of players and he is a pretty good passer. Definitely seems like an Ime type of player. If we somehow lose Tari to a contract situation, he might be a decent replacement for him in a few years.

All PGs need to be looked at as projects, tbh. Guys that come in like Luka are the exception. Look how Cade took off this year - it is his 4th season. Brunson, Garland, SGA, Murray, etc.

I believe in Carter Bryant. I think he could be a lot like Trey Murphy, but better defense, worse offense where Murphy is better offense, worse defense. Both both good 2-way players.

Rockets have to draft anyone with the ability to shoot. The roster is currently void of that skill.

Really bad draft for that outside Flagg, Kon and dirty ass sip Tre.

I really hope Denver gets the W tonight. A game 7 in OKC would be fun.

Kind of skimming through the NY blowout of Boston and watching the feed scroll through all the celebrity celebrations I caught what appeared to be PJ Tucker taking off a Jersey.

Sure enough checking basketball reference he's still floating around the league and logged 4 minutes tonight for the Knicks according to the box score.

That SOB is still dribbling at 40.

Yeah, I think this series will be much better than the Minn/OKC series. We'll see though. I want to see Ant go off though. I don't think Minn wins that series if Ant doesn't go for 25, 30+ each game.

Give em the #10 pick and Jalen for KD.

I like some of the prospects at 10 in this deep draft. I'd rather hang on to the picks. Hate giving them back for a team looking to tank.

Dream scenario. The Rockets minus Jalen, plus a veteran assassin-for-hire KD next season? That team can beat OKC. Run it.

Got to include about 15 million more for the salaries to work

I think this is why the KD rumours will ultimately go nowhere. The Rockets have all the leverage, so they will want to really fleece the Suns; unfortunately, we will have to give up something we value to match KDs salary which will minimize the return of the trade.

If we want max value, we are probably better off involving a 3rd team to absorb KDs contract while we pick up some assets for the 10.

Ultimately, I think Stone just drafts the best available player on his board at 10.

Same with Spurs. Broken ass toxic iso-heavy Durant isn't worth what box score watchers think he is worth.

Maybe they could get a deal around Julius Randle or something. They need big players and Spurs and Rockets want to trade SGs to a team with Booker and Beal. Doesn't make sense.

The counter to this is if a team doesn't have their picks… they have no real incentive to tank.

The Suns could be in better shape, but they still have means to re-tool and be ok for a bit.
