Now the interesting thing: How big an extension did Houston agree to as part of the trade.

What was Dillion's numbers? I hadn't been up on the contract dynamics. I kind of wish we could've kept him. Not since bringing Metta Peace have I remembered a trade that shook the Rockets like this.

For the third time in 25 years we've pulled a staggering one sided traded- tmac, harden, now this

When we pulled Harden, I don't think anyone knew what the ceiling was with him. It wasn't like T-Mac and Artest imo.

Hopefully just one extra season

Lowe was saying last week Durant wanted 2y112M.

I said absolutely no to KD, but I like that trade. We're finally out of the Green business and we didn't give up anything else.

This should say "Nobody else is dumb enough to trade for Jalen Green"

Who would want to break up a back court that features Beal and Green making a total of 87 million dollars.

Now the Rockets just have to sign Serge Ibaka and they'll have had all of the OKC Big 4

So if Milwaukee asks for Sengun, Sheppherd, Eason, and two firsts…… do you do it?

Of course. But Milwaukee would ask for significantly more than that.

I seem to remember the Rockets doing something else big one year on June 22, hmmmm, what could it have been?

I like Brooks more than most people, but we already had the problem that Jabari needs to start over him and he's too valuable to play from the bench.

I really like a starting 5 of FVV, Amen, Jabari, KD and Sengun, with Adams and Eason being our first two off the bench.

We need one "dog" as a bench player to take on the role of enforcer, defensive specialist, when the situation calls for it. Can be the third primary bench player.

I didn't follow super closely this year but Jalen Green was certainly not a clutch star. Fantastic trade for the Rockets IMO

He might be, salary adjusted, the worst player in the league.

People get too caught up in scoring in a vacuum and potential. The idea that Jalen Green gives you 20 a game is meaningless. A G league team playing an 82 game schedule against NBA teams is going to have someone average 15 points per game. Maybe even more. They're going to lose every game be 40, but still have guys "giving you 15". Who cares.

I know what you are trying to say. But your point is moot as he gave over 20 a game to a 50+ win team.

This is just fan talk, but I love doing it on the day of Game 7 so it's all over the broadcast and it sends a clear message to the Thunder

If you win tonight, we're coming for your rings
If you lose tonight, is your window going to close sooner than you thought?

Seems weird that the NBA lets these trades happen before the end of The Finals.

It is agreed to in principle and can't be called in and finalized until July 6th.

It isn't out of the question that the trade expands with other teams between now and then.

Not a huge fan of Jalen, but he did that on a team that won 52 games. He's a decent player, that will likely never be a star.

I think he's an ideal number 2 scoring option, but not a number 1.

I wish him luck the rest of his career. I love the trade, though. KD is a stud and we don't need him to play D. Just drill them 3s.

Gary Trent Jr immediately comes to mind for me. Shoots ~40% from three.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker would also be a good fit

Houston is hard capped at 2nd Apron and has no ability to sign anyone like that without significant trades.

If Jock is cut, there is about 11m in money available to the hard cap with only 11 roster players.

ESPN's immediate post-finals Power Rankings put the Rockets fifth.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/45486382/way-too-early-nba-power-rankings-post-finals-all-30-teams-2025-26

OKC 1, Minnesota 2, Denver 3, Cleveland 4, Houston 5.

Around the state, Dallas (with Flagg) 14
San Antonio 17

They seem to be cutting FVV. Kind of still need him to run point. Such a small clip it's hard to tell, but no that's not reasonable.

Anything below 11M will be dependent on the paycut FVV takes.

Gotcha, I didn't look at it that close.

NBA salary cap stuff is hard to keep track of
