Also bears repeating, the US didn't come play the course beforehand. Europe did. Would we have won if we did? Probably not. But why can't you get everyone together and go play the course? Stuff like that is infuriating.

Correct. This year the clear majority of Team Europe players were playing good or real good golf as Rose and Fleetwood both won recent playoff events. As for Team USA players at least half of them were playing below average golf or very inconsistent over the past 6 months. Guys like Morikawa, Xander, Cantlay and even JT have been inconsistent or below their usual play. Outside of Young, our rookies haven't been anything to shout about.
Not sure if you've heard, but part of Europe's strategy was to try to win the first six holes. Usually teams try to lose those holes so they can save their energy for the later holes.
Sure, but even a guy who has not played well this year like Lowry showed up this weekend for Europe. This crop of Americans just suck in this format at every level. The mental aspect the most. Very few guys on this team have balls.

Hat ton has been eye opening this week. I've never paid much attention to him, but he's quite the player.
The bottom 4 or 5 guys for Team Europe such as Fitzpatrick, Lowry, Straka, Aberg and Rasmus all were playing good overall. Hovland and Aberg have been inconsistent moreso.

Euros had no problem with LIV players leading their team.
There's a lot of reasons to criticize the US team but not leaning into LIV enough is the dumbest. The only LIV golfer who remotely deserved to be on this team is on it. And is currently getting his doors blown off for the 4th time.

Phil has a very polarizing personality and not sure alot of PGA pros (millionaires) want to follow him. I think we should choose someone else like Leonard, Duval or Zinger

I think we should do what US basketball did for the Olympics; make a dedicated captain for a time period more than one season. Let Zinger be the captain for the next 2 Ryder Cups.
