Neck injury. He had to be replaced yesterday before the afternoon round because he couldn't go. MRI confirmed a bulged disk

I don't see Viktor Hovland faking an injury. He's not that kind of guy. And this means way too much to any of these players to voluntarily sit out.

It's just an absurdly dumb rule

I agree it's a dumb rule, but it is the rule and has been the rule for a long time. And no one saw the need to revise it. Is what it is.

That's why there's not near as much of a home field advantage here in the US. Everywhere they stay and play looks very familiar, whereas when the US goes over there it's mostly "foreign " to them.

Dumb. Define "live in Europe". I'd bet all these guys have a residence in Europe.

They work here for a lot of the year.

If your work forced you to live in Europe, would you not consider yourself an American?

The rule is a medical forfeit gets you 1/2 point and you're good with that?
