They are a good club. Good but not elite in the circle but lots of bats that can beat you.
I will be interested to see who is in the circle for the Ags. I still hold out hope that Peters will make an appearance and go one time through. That would be a big boost for A&M. Leavitt seems better in relief. Lessentine is good either way but seems limited to one through a lineup at this point in career. Would love to see the team win game 1 without Kennedy pitching more than an inning

Walk off for Arky was hit by Bri Ellis. Originally committed to Ags (legacy with Ag parents), but previous A&M regime snubbed her with a reduced scholly offer and she went to Auburn. Was SEC freshman of year there before transferring to Arky. Best hitter in the country. Could have and SHOULD have been an Ag.
Parents are apparently still salty about it. Game 1 against Arky, they were saying "show them how much they should have paid you".

Texas finished third in the SEC at 16-8, with away series at the RPI 2 and 3. A loss to an Ole Miss team Florida just lost to won't change the body of work. I don't see any way Texas drops out of the Top 8.
Even if USC passed Texas in the RPI I'm dubious a 13-11 USC would be Top 8 over a 16-8 Texas. Same for a 14-10 Arkansas or 12-12 LSU.
Texas' floor is the 7 seed IMO if it loses to Ole Miss (with A&M, OU, Florida, and UT seeded higher out of the SEC). Texas ELO is 3.
This should be an exciting post-season run for the Aggies. There's a gut feeling that Coach Ford and her staff have got the team prepped, experience gained with a tough regular season, and developed depth in the field & in the circle.

Coach talked a bit about Sidne in her last interview. Said not ready for this weekend but really close. I am thinking Coach might try her in an early regional game for an inning to see how she does. Is she OK both physically (no discomfort?) and mechanically (pitching motion normal?) and does she still 'have the stuff' to be effective? If one inning OK, try a second. But no more. Just in case. At least that first game. And then go from there. Really NEED her for super and WCWS.

On the other hand, this is not the NCAA tournament. No matter what happens we will still host a regional and super if we win the regional. But how we do will be a very good indicator for the 'big' tournament.

I'd really like to see the rest of the staff ready to step up today and handle usce without lefty needing to come in
I am sorry, but I am as nervous as a cat on a hot tin roof. Usce isn't the patsy everyone made them to be. Awe, admiration, whatever. They have won 39, maybe last night made 40, wins. for a team predicted to come in dead last, new coach and influx in mid majors players made a difference.

It's a beautiful day for some softball in Athens. First game 10 minutes away from starting.
Psychology is important in most sports. All, probably. Teams have psychologists to help players work through issues, slumps, etc.
Many of our hitters have had slumps off and on. Including Allie.

RPI after that Ark goes up to 4, Tenn down to 7. USCe up to 9 and texas down to 10. This is fun to watch even though I know it will change again before the day ends

tu was challenging whether Miss re-entered someone properly. Announcers were discussing it and saying it could've been that they re-entered the pitcher instead but didn't seem like anyone really knew.
