No, I get it, I use it too. It's just dumb for the name of our regionals.

Quick thoughts:
If we win our regional (we will) I'd say there's a really good chance we face Stanford and not Oregon.
Oregon and Alabama got the toughest 2 seeds in Stanford and Virginia Tech.
One of the 3 series OU lost in conference was to Alabama, who they would face in the supers if the seeds hold.
Thank God we avoided Texas Tech in the supers. DO NOT want to face Canady in a 3 game series with everything on the line.
I'm surprised they put Tech with Florida State, other than it Guarantees 1 non-SEC school to the WCWS.
LSU draws Jordy Bahl. I hope she puts it to them.
Missouri has 2 victories over No.1 team in the country this year (OU & A&M) and misses the tournament. There's no way that's happened before.
It's about to happen to our guys.Quote:

Marist's starting pitcher has a 1.50 ERA and a record of 22-1. But I don't believe she has pitched against any top 25 teams.Boozer92 said:
So we draw 2 of the top mid major hitters? Wow

Texas Tech was seeded 5 spots above their rpi
Texas 3 spots
LSU 4 spots lower
Everyone else within 2
Committee held pretty close to that metric
Growing up in the 80s it was always B-CS. The C-STAT stuff drives me crazy.frankie00 said:I use 'B-CS' all the time. Got so used to seeing it when I was a student that it became common usage so I still do it.RadCouncil 21 said:
Like I get that, the university does that sort of generally, but the address of the actual stadium is in College Station

LOL
We make program history and the main discussion is what they call our regional.
B-CS works for me.

Hardest Regionals for Each Host:
— College Softball Coverage (@collegesbzone) May 12, 2025
(1 being hardest - 16 being easiest)
1. Texas Tech
2. LSU
3. Arkansas
4. UCLA
5. Arizona
6. Texas
7. Florida State
8. Duke
9. Florida
10. Alabama
11. Tennessee
12. South Carolina
13. Clemson
14. Oklahoma
15. Oregon
16. Texas A&M
Interesting list. I think both Alabama and Oregon should be closer to the top. Tech with Miss St and Washington makes since at 1. I would probably put Arizona 2 with both Ole Miss and GCU there. Oregon at 3 with Stanford there. Alabama at 4 with Virginia Tech there. Maybe Duke at 5 with Georgia and Coastal there besides I don't think Duke is all that good. LSU should handle Nebraska just finejmcfar_98 said:Hardest Regionals for Each Host:
