We can argue and debate all we want but the why is very simple. Last weekend our Ace was not an Ace in the circle and Grace should have never entered the circle. Our offense scored enough runs to win any decent pitched game.
But why was Kennedy so off? Was she overused in the SEC Tournament? The latter part of the season? Texas used 5 pitchers in their two SEC tournament games.MSTC Man said:

Coach Ford in the postgame mentioned "swing plane" relative to her pitches and their batters. So that could mean Kennedy's pitches didn't have enough run/tail on them to induce weaker hits or misses.Gap said:Quote:

10 innings over a weekend is very normal. Nothing unusual there.Quote:

For a pitcher, the issues are usually command/control or velocity.

The wheels have come off in South Carolina. UCLA is punishing them. Cocks came within one out of going to the CWS last night. Rooting against all SEC teams. Why root for your enemies?

If Ole Miss hangs on, that side of the bracket would be Oregon, UCLA, Ole Miss and Tech? Tech could sleepwalk into the championship.
while I appreciate the transparency of the selection committee, it seemed pretty obvious to me that oregon and UCLA were both top 10 teams all year long. glad they proved the schedule naysayers wrong. you can only beat whats in front of youStone44 said:

I think OU or Tech wins it.

I like Pickens to beat OU 1st round. Makes for a long, but doable, path to the championship.

...and her first base coach...and the relief pitcher who threw one pitch for the walk-off home run. The 6th inning base running gaff and the 7th inning collapse will leave lifetime mental scars.

Is Ole Miss really gonna make it to OKC?

Liberty definitely were under seeded. They were ranked 24th in RPI and 27th in the rankings. They expected to be in anywhere between South Carolina's regional and Clemson's.

Cece Cellura, pitcher from San Diego State a few mentioned the other day, got offers from Bama and LSU. She committed to LSU on Monday. She will be a Junior. We have played LSU the past two years so might not see them the next two years during the regular season.
Desirae Spearman, the two way player (OF and P) from New Mexico State, also mentioned the other day, with really good hitting stats but average pitching stats, is still available. Will be a Junior.
Maya Johnson, the national strikeout leader from Belmont with the awesome stats, is still available. She will be a Senior. I wonder what her NIL offers have been.
Fort Wayne has about 14 players in the portal. Multiple classes. Lots of possible reasons for the exodus. Always interesting when this happens.
