Well, lots of people in this fanbase should theoretically see this as upside based on how aggressively they attack Guyton. But of course these same people will suddenly act like they think it's a big loss just so they can maintain negativity.

Tyler Guyton's ACL is intact after a MRI, according to a source. He has a bone fracture and will not require surgery. Looking at a 4-6 week recovery. Cowboys get better than expected news.

Great news for him. Means he probably will only miss the opener.
From all reports Guyton has really been putting in the work. So glad it's not the ACL and he will get to play early this season.
Good news. That said, this is a guy that really needed a good training camp with the leap he needs to make.

Not sure if they will move him or not, but Tyler Smith really is our next Zach Martin.
All Pro Guard that can also step in at OT when needed and probably be better at it than our starter was.
Gonna need to pay that guy and he's gonna be expensive.
They're going to crap the bed with Tyler Smith's contract just like they are doing with Micah's. They should have extend Smith last year, he was already a top guard in the league, they just gave him another year to drive up his total contract value.

LT - Richards (played pretty well in limited action last year)

RG - Booker
RT - Steele
That's a pretty good group on paper! I'm especially excited to see their run blocking with some of the new schemes I would assume Klayton Adams will introduce from AZ.

It's a nice interior, assuming Booker is what he think he should be. The tackles are scary. Steele was super slow in pass protection last year.
True. I've also seen some good things about Ajani Cornelius, the 6th round rookie out of Oregon. Maybe he can be a candidate for eventual Steele replacement.
Schottenheimer ended practice early and made them run laps yesterday. Said too many fights and not enough focus. Good for him.
I read that Schotty stopped practice yesterday and made the whole team (coaches included - lol!) run because there was too much fighting. So far, I like the discipline he is bringing.

He seems like a players coach until it's time to work, and then if you aren't handling our business he'll be in your ass faster than you can blink.
Sounds like a much tighter ship than what was there under McCarthy so far. Would love to see less stupid penalties this season.

Also, looks like George Pickens is still turning heads at camp! He might unlock another level to this offense because he is such a deep ball savant.
And Jaydon Blue is looking pretty good as a change of pace back, kind of like early career Tony Pollard. Hopefully he can carve out that role with Javonte as the starter.

I don't think there is much doubt about Pickens physical skills. The question will be if he can keep his wits and maturity when the regular season bullets fly and adversity hits.

Who is the projected starter at RB? And where does Mofah fit in? I think he's the eventual starter and bell cow. In my eyes Javonte and Sanders are similar players that are more of pass catchers.

I ****ing hate this front office. Even though this is most likely just posturing for negotiation purposes its so completely unnecessary. All they have to do is look at how Philly handles extensions and just do that. Not kidding at all when I say that I could do a better job than them at this aspect of cap management and player relationships.

If what Micah wrote in his farewell to Dallas note is true then he also needs to fire his agent.
I honestly would consider trading him. It sounds like Ezeiruaku could be the real deal. See if you can't get couple firsts, maybe a high first and take a QB in the next two years. Dak ain't getting any younger.
He isn't going to be traded.
They should have traded him in one of the past 2 offseasons. Between his inability to deliver all season (which is unlikely to get better as he ages), I can't justify seeing over $40mm of cap going to him. But if you were going to keep him, the signing should have been done this spring.
