This is way more reasonable. No clue where people are getting 5-12 from. I guess just the bad taste the Parsons deal has left in their mouths.

The team lost Dak less than half way in to the season last year and still won 7 games. Also in a year where the entire coaching staff knew they were lame ducks and likely fired. Didn't we play a 1st place schedule last year? And this year we play a 3rd place schedule? Don't we have a better WR group with Pickens now?

It's insanity to think this team is going to be one of the 5-6 worst teams in the league picking them to be anywhere near 5-12.

They completely downgraded at the HC position. Our division is tough. We can't run the football and we can't stop the run. All this adds up to a bad season.

I could also easily see another McCarthy type solid 10-7 or 11-6 but with another early playoff exit again that we all would know is coming. That would require a lot of good health and getting Micah in at a decent time though.

Time will only tell. I actually think the worst area of the team will be CB, and primarily because of injury.

I honestly have no idea what to expect and wouldn't be surprised at any outcome.

Trying to look at it realistically, we have a QB that (usually) performs like a top 10-ish QB. That alone gives us an advantage over most of the league. We also have a few elite players on both sides of the ball and the best FG kicker in the league.

I think we will be competitive in most games and we'll be fine...

BUT... there is a lot that can go wrong. Schotty could be complete crap. Our run D could, once again, be complete garbage. Our RBs could be complete garbage. It's not likely that all of those things are true, but certainly 1 or 2 of them could be!

I really don't see how the run game could be any worse tbh. Strictly from a scheme perspective I think they'll be better this year than last, then you add that the group is probably more talented than what we had and I just don't see how we are worse than last year.

Yes, very tough to predict. I just look at them and at the end of the day, there's a stud WR, a guy who is a stud pass rusher for most of the year (if they get him signed), and a QB that is at least a top 12-13 guy if on the field. That's usually enough to at least be decent, again, of those guys can get on the field and stay on it.

Injuries, the great unknown equalizer of every NFL season. Last season was brutal, hopefully we have better fortunes this year.

It's also why the GB game was so demoralizing. We were relatively healthy with what had been a pretty dang good football team all season...... and we got absolutely curb stomped!!!!

Watching the eagles preseason game. Yes it's preseason, but they are going to repeat if they stay reasonably healthy.

So deep. Ainias just scored a TD and then nearly housed a punt. They score 2 plays later.

Of course you have to take it with a grain of salt but LA is supposed to be good and we're not. You can't deny their backups are better than our backups. They have depth and we don't.

That's Jerry's top heavy roster BS for you. He always has the majority of the cap tied up in 5-6 players and the rest of the roster is below league average.
