What use to be Casa Rod is now under new ownership. Sign change coming soon If you were one of the people like me that had given up on the hit or miss food and service give this place a chance. Owner is very nice and food was hot and delicious. Same menu and new things coming. She is hiring wait stuff so give them a break on limits wait staff. We only waited about 10 minutes and they had a table of 15 that ordered before us.

That's Gina's you are thinking of. Don't think Hector is back in business. I'd be in line with you for a Volcan though!

I haven't seen any plans for office space for that development anywhere. Just retail and restaurants.PS3D said:MsDoubleD81 said:

It was on TexAgs a while back, some sort of retail space (nothing specific) with restaurant space in front and office space above. Some posters apparently mistook the upper level cutaway plans for a separate building.

Does anyone else think a reasonably priced breakfast spot with a legit breakfast/brunch buffet on weekends would do well here?

IMO CdB is not a true brunch. A few breakfast items & the regular CdB items. Casa Mangiere on the other hand - GREAT brunch!Orlando Ayala Cant Read said:AgTrip said:Mi Familia's breakfast buffet is well done and it's packed there on Saturday morningsOrlando Ayala Cant Read said:

Does it have more traditional type offerings like waffles, pancake, omelets etc?
I've actually been meaning to try the casa do brasil brunch for a while now

Coffee shop going in where the bank used to be at Mitchell/Welsh. Unfortunately it appears they're removing the drive-thru window.
