Incorrect. They are looking to move. I just bought two holsters today in store

Thank you for the business. This is correct. We are looking at finding a building that better suits our production better. Although we are larger in online sales we have a storefront for local customers.

Oldham Goodwin just confirming on FB the long rumored HEB across from Miramont is happening!

Bryan's retail landscape is undergoing a significant transformation! Jeremy Richmond, Managing Director of Oldham Goodwin Land Services, successfully closed a pivotal real estate transaction at the Boonville Road & Briarcrest Drive intersection. Representing Summit Crossing, Richmond played a key role in negotiating the sale of property owned by Summit Crossing and The Wheeler Foundation. The future holds a promising mixed-use development anchored by H-E-B. Stay tuned for this exciting chapter in Bryan's commercial real estate. How many HEBs in the area? Will they ever build one near NG? The kids will need a place to get food. We don't want them leaving that area once we've trapped them. Maybe we should build a wall around it?

Well dang it. Why I wonder was it in my FB feed just today? No excuse, should have checked the date. I did not see that the first time around, I did not realize HEB had been confirmed. But am glad for the east sidera!

I like how this board rolls its eyes at banks but then getting yet another H-E-B (rather than a REAL supermarket) is treated as a big announcement.

HEB's are so real that they tend to dominate markets and run other supermarkets out of town lol. Are they my fave, no. Are they real, no doubt.

When he was here, The Oracle used to go on unhinged rants on Yelp about how we were promised a Central Market but then all we'd get is another regular HEB.

Those thousands would likely appreciate an East Loop to get around the traffic that HEB will bring.

Rarity makes something makes something special. McDonald's restaurants opening used to be worthy of a parade (especially in smaller towns).

Concrete floors, warehouse ceilings, no food by the pound at the deli...this sort of thing would be considered a "warehouse foods store" 20-30 years ago. And given the number of Curbside spots and the mega-carts taking up space, many people who claim to "love" H-E-B don't even actually go in.

Still not following you. HEB is awesome. What "real supermarkets" do you prefer instead?

I'm confused, I buy meat by the pound all the time at the deli.

I think he means like hot and cold prepared food items.

The grocery we visit in Red River every summer has that plus tile on the floor and a "real" ceiling. However, I'd never trade it for even the smallest HEB we have here.
Captn_Ag05
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Post COVID, curbside is everywhere. I don't get your point. People love the quality, variety, and price of HEB. That doesn't mean they have to walk the aisles and hug the products.

In any event, a grocery store like HEB is a big anchor for development. Lots of other things build around it and they typically employ 150-200 people, etc. A new bank branch is apples to oranges on the comparison.

Post-COVID everything is 40% more expensive and more limited hours. I don't follow you. If price is the only thing that matters, go to Walmart. And H-E-B doesn't much variety beyond their store brand and maybe one or two other brands at best.
