The investments in infrastructure by the city, and the number of apartment buildings going up on 47. That seems to indicate a need for services like grocery stores and restaurants in the near future. Again, total speculation on my part.

Yeah we live out here and the amount of homes going up between Leonard and VM is crazy. Not many great options between Traditions and more starter homes.

A lot of those things are happening because of RELLIS.

A music venue with a decent restaurant near campus, that allowed for dancing on the weekends, would kill in this town. Finding the right location is the tricky part.

Gonna need to do it either in Bryan or outside of city limits to have a chance for success.

Here's a thought: that athletic training facility in Millican that Ty Warren owned went out of business. Turn it into a live music/dance hall.

Rename it the SPJST.

Sure if you have $3m just for the building.

Latest on Schulman's Movie Bowl Grille:

Quote:

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - The Bryan City Council heard an update Wednesday on an agreement between the city and the company responsible for bringing Schulman's Movie Bowl Grille to the Midtown Park area, but that information isn't being shared with taxpayers at this time.

Plans to build Schulman's in Bryan were first announced in 2022. At the time, city leaders and the business both shared that construction would be complete in the fall of 2024.

Almost a full year later, it's still not ready to open, and Deputy City Manager Hugh Walker said they don't know when it'll happen.

From what I was told they ran out of money and were trying to get the city to buy them out. Not sure how accurate that is.

Looks like heavy equipment has been moved onto the future HEB site Sunday across from Miramont. Been noticing a lot of survey work taking place on the site. I'm assuming the HEB project is still moving forward and this equipment signals the construction starting for the project.

If City of Bryan takes the bait we're going to see posts about how this a huge win for Bryan and totally nothing like anything CoCS did.

The doors of the Valero gas station and convenience store at Souh Texas and Marylake in Bryan are locked. The windows and inside are a mess. The outside grass is going wild. It seems to be permanently closed. But it could be in for a future remodel?

You need better sources.

I'm not saying he's wrong. I actually asked around and got some other info on it but just a fly by, "You're wrong" without providing anything else is dumb.

I'm thinking the "ran out of money" rumor was floated for a reason.

I can't say what I know about it for contractual reasons. If I could tell you, I would gladly do so.

Now, I'm not going to get into a fight or back and forth over this. Don't feel like a ban.
