College Station City Council Approves Rezoning For A New Outdoor Entertainment Center

Would like to see more private developers submit parks/recreation centers like this. Recreation does not have to be the sole domain of the city.

That's the biggest problem with the mall, its owned and managed by CBL properties, they aren't known for having the best malls, if Simon property group or Brookfield properties owned that mall I can tell you that it would be doing much better compared to right now.

Permit issued for new signage at the Aggieland Boutique Hotel for Voco hotel, which is a luxury brand within the IHG family. Not sure if they are planning to do a lot of reno work on it or not but I wouldn't classify that hotel as luxury. This is the hotel on Texas near Total Wine and behind Jack in the Box.

PJ's Coffee (https://www.facebook.com/PJsCoffeeCollegeStation) posted on Facebook yesterday:

"Know that your new favorite PJ's Coffee is coming soon to College Station. Stay tuned for opening details!"

They didn't give any further info than that, just "coming soon", but it looked mostly done when I saw it a few days ago. At that time, it looked like they still needed to add information to the menu at the drive thru; not sure what else they still need to do.

Story that I'd like to share:
Stayed at a cheap Quality Inn in Gainesville TX last month when I went to visit my aging dad. It was run by Indians (the ones with the dots) and the desk lady told me the night before about their breakfast in the lobby the following day. I showed up around 7:30 the next morning to find that there was no breakfast. The front desk clerk told me that the "breakfast guy" ironically named Dinish was not coming in so there was no breakfast..

I had to laugh at the irony, so I had a good chuckle. I don't think that the front desk guy understood my chuckle but he let me have a free juice outta their snack bar nonetheless.

That hotel was a dump 25 years ago. Hopefully they've updated it since then.

Stella Southern Cafe actually has the Banger Burger on the menu now. It's just called the 1802 Burger. Harvey Washbangers' address was 1802 Texas Ave. S.

The two buildings that were formerly part of the La Quinta property behind the old Taco Cabana location (and future Portillo's location) is being turned into a Boutique Hotel and the developer is looking to flip it once remodeled. OG is marketing the property.
