The Otaku food festival is returning to Post Oak Mall Sept. 20 and 21st. Lots of fun Asian food vendors as I recall.

I don't care about all the anime stuff but the food sounds really interesting. Anyone been? Is this inside or outside the mall?

A couple people who I trust went last year and really enjoyed it. We're planning to go this year.

Thanks for the heads up. I usually try making my own these days, but will meet up with my parents at Bangkok Thai from time to time.

I'll let them know for the next time we do

Unless you want a beer with your meal. No alcohol last time I was there. But 100% agree on the food and service.

I've been twice and it's both. The food is primarily outside and had a lot of variety - though there are usually a few booths that are super packed (the ones with the most iconic anime food, I think).

Most of the vendors are inside nearby, though some are also positioned outside. In addition to anime stuff, a lot of vendors had Disney and video game-related merch, fantasy themed items, one or two with jewelry, swords, and knives. Some great artists selling original work as well.

The sumo demonstration was also really cool!

All around, a pretty fun time

(oh, and while they say bring cash, both years we went every place we stopped at took plastic too)
Why yes, yes I really do run the best (and only) BCS ICEE Guide!
