Always been a HUGE fan of the Shrimp and Grits (city) at Another Broken Egg. A while back I got hooked on the Louisiana Benedict off their seasonal fall menu. There was an item on that same fall menu that I had been tempted to try. But, always went with one of my other favorites. Today, I was talked into it. Really, really good. It is pictured with the shrimp and grits which I ordered as my entree. The bartender talked me into getting the corned beef and Brussels as a side. Kitchen accidentally gave me the full order.
Size of order is irrelevant.
This is about efficiency.
They don't take the order until you get to the window. Then you have to sit and wait for them to make it and hold up the line.
When I call it in, as I did today, when I get to the window they hand me my order and I pay and leave. Faster for me, and faster for everyone in line behind me.
It's frustrating when I pull up behind someone who has four people in their SUV and they are ordering at the window and asking a bunch of questions about the menu because even though they have already passed by a large menu in line, they still have zero clue what they are doing when they get to the window.
This isn't hard. It's just drive-thru ordering.
As I said, calling it in ahead of time is what smart people do.

Since I know what I am getting I can order it when I get there and breakfast tacos take zero time to make. So we both are happy with our methods.

I'll help you out. At their new location you order at the menu and speaker. It's on the back wall of the restaurant. You then have to drive around to the window to pay and pick up your order.
By all means keep doing it your way that lets the tacos sit a while and get soggy.

Why in the world would they not utilize the speaker system?
Maybe it doesn't work.
They should go with the same model the Freebirds on University at 6 uses: if you want to use the drive-thru, you better have called it in first.

More people need to use this method at the Bryan location. Then they wouldn't be backed up into the parking lot blocking the space I want to park in!

La Famila is great, but the line could always be long on Saturday mornings. The should really work on modifying their system to use a speaker.

Or, everyone could take the advice of the decal on the drive-thru window, which has now been shared on a public forum, and call in the order ahead of time.
I do love that multiple people have starred the post touting the idea of using the speaker to order, and those stars came after I posted pictures of the speaker with a sign that says order at the window.
This tells me it is likely people that are on mobile but don't know to click on the little image icon to get the photo to display.

Got a takeout pizza from Mr. G's Thursday. Had not had their pizza in awhile. The crust was perfect…crisp, they nailed the chair. The toppings…yikes. Either forgot sauce, or put literally a teaspoon for the entire pizza. The other toppings were pretty meh too. That said, if they got the crust right I'm happy to try again.

Went back this morning to test my initial impression as the fall menu is about to close out.
This is one of the most well composed dishes I've ever eaten anywhere. Seriously. The balance is simply stunning.
From what I understand, the fall menu is about to make way for the winter. Just about a week left to try this.
