DoorDash has a pretty good deal for Coco Shrimp right now. Never tried it until tonight. Everybody loved it. Deal was about $15 off.

I love dimassis. They have kefta kabobs that are really good and the chicken kebab is outstanding. I wish they sold that Hummus at heb. I'd be all over that.

This will likely become my go to place when in town for events.

Seems like going the Togo $9.99lb route would be a pretty good deal if just getting the meats

Went to Chicken Oil for the first time since reopening. Parking lot, including the expanded, lot was full. Parked across the street. Walking in, I wasn't sure what to expect as far and how long to place my order, how long to get my food and if a table would be available.

Don't let a loaded parking lot deter you. Although a decent line of people in front of me, it moved quickly. The food came out so quick I told the gal they must have studied Chick-fil-A for efficiency.

Beer was cold, fries were hot and the Death Burger was good. Plenty of seating.

Margie's checks out. Great burger.
Karaoke was great.

Edit: wrong emoji. Shouldn't post after beers.

Sorry, wrong emoji. Never been to TOTH. It's on the bucket list. I can't usually make lunch though and they close too early.

I went for the first time on Saturday during a donut run (10.5 miles, 3 donut shops) and tried the cronut holes. So good. My husband had a brisket kolache. I want to go back to try more items!

I'm curious what all was on this rotation.

Whataburger comes to mind.

Unpopular opinion, I actually think PE has helped their consistency. Now if they can work on their speed a bit. A double with jalapeƱos is still hard to beat while on the move.

It's consistently worse than it used to be

JLM's Chicken and Waffles on 29th. The old cake place, down from DQ.

Best fried chicken I've had in a long time. Big cuts. Bursting with juice. Super crispy without being greasy. Even leftovers were good out of the air fryer.

Looking forward to going back and trying their other flavors. We had original, because the rib isn't into spicy. I'm not even a lemon pepper fan, but I would still like to try it.

They also evidently have a Soulfood Sunday brunch. They said their FB page indicates what all they're serving. Seem like good people. Great food.

They definitely changed the meat. Most tasteless burger of any major chain. With enough sauce and other toppings it can still be a decent tasting sandwich but the meat itself is now tasteless. Very disappointing but plenty of other options so I rarely bother with them anymore

That's like, your opinion man.

Admittedly I don't eat it locally much, but would irregularly hit a few of the same ones on a few regular road trips. They seemed much more hit and miss before. I find them to be more consistently solid across the different locations. I guess YMMV.

The Snuffy/Freddy has been a favorite since school days. They did an amazing job bringing Chicken Oil up to modern code while keeping the original feel. The latest trip was just OK. The "drink corner" is a Charlie Foxtrot, but I'm sure they'll get it dialed in. Glad to have them back.

Yes. It is buffet only with prime rib and lots of other good stuff. Runs about $45 each
