Honestly don't know, but I hope not. I can't find anything related to a terminal A North project.

Which is mildly infuriating.

Flying to Mexico on UA Monday. I'm assuming out of C, but don't know yet. I've been parking at A/B for everything the last few years. With everything going on regarding that garage, does it make sense to book direct at C now?

I may need to take a quick flight to pick up a car and drive it home. How ******ed would I be to fly spirit to do this? It's cheaper by several hundred, non stop and I don't need to take anything more than a backpack with me.

With all of that in mind, you should be fine. Just be sure to print your boarding pass at home.

For real? Are they that antiquated? They don't do electronic boarding passes or do they charge for the convenience of using an app and/or charge for printing a boarding pass?

I don't beleive you can put their boarding pass on an app or anything like that. It is print at home or pay $25+ at check-in. It is one of their ways to nickel-and-dime people to death with fees.

Wrong.

You can access your boarding pass on the Spirit app. There's no need for a paper boarding pass.

20+ years ago? Looks like I will be switching to a different airport anyways so may not matter.

if you do go spirit, be sure to bring a shower cap or you'll be denied boarding. True story.

Park at A and take train over. A garage is EMPTY...

If it's a direct flight, go for it. The hate for spirit is a little over the top. I've had bad experiences on all airlines. I've flown spirit a number of times and never had a bad experience with them other than a delay or two.

My daughter flys in today (B) and I am headed over to pick her up. Where is the best spot for me to tell her to go for me to pick her up? I'm at the airport a few times a month but always Uber so am not sure of picking someone up outside of that. She won't have checked luggage. Thx!

The hate for Spirit has less to do with their flight performance and more to do with their absurd nickel and dime price structure and the feral nature of most of their passengers.

If she can get on the Disney train underground take it to A - I'm not sure with the way they route you out of B if you get access and that would be less walking for her. Otherwise the above ground tram to A then walk to the passenger pickup area. Longer walk since they have the exit close to the tram shutdown.

I had a reservation for c yesterday and it was already to the roof. Security felt like a zoo at 0800 yesterday but PreCheck was still less than 10 minuets all the way through.

I parked in A on Saturday and it wasn't too bad at all. The new route was a little messed up but not too bad. Was thru PreCheck on 5 mins. I haven't exited A since the exit change will see how that goes.

Are you guys checking bags going through A security but flying United? I was a longtime secret tunnel guy in B but it was for work and I never checked a bag. The transition to A isn't bad either but I'm going on vacation soon and actually have to check and am dreading this new experience. Do I just deal with C? International flight on United.

Edit I know I can't check my bag in A and have to ride the Disney train. Guess the question is which is less worse- C garage or Disney train?

Same but my flight was in afternoon. Had to park on the roof and got lucky to catch someone leaving. The signs said 284 open spots but I think it was counting the spots they are resurfacing. C security was a zoo.

Yes but that wasn't my question. Is A parking and the Disney train better than other IAH parking if you have to check a back for United?

Sorry, I misread...I normally park offsite and take the shuttle just because I end up at a different terminal than I takeoff from quite a bit, it's normally quite easy and cheaper

This is how I picture most of y'all getting ready for a trip.

Goodness, I drive to the airport Park at the Spot JFK, ride to C, drop my bags, walk through security and head to where I need to go. Friday morning at 0730 I was in the front door, dropped 2 bags, and through security in under 15 minutes.
