Feel confident we can hang close enough tomorrow afternoon to make Sunday interesting. But we need a miracle tomorrow morning. Donald is going to roll out his 8 best, no worries for how many sessions anybody plays.

Let's see how tomorrow goes. You never know. Rory is known to implode, and I still do not believe the Euros have all those shots in them for two more days. Or, at least our guys will accidentally make a putt or three.

The intimidation factor is so overrated in the US. The Euros live here and play here 9 out of 12 months a year. They see red, white and blue everywhere all the time. Everything looks and feels very familiar to them unlike when this even is played in Europe

I'll defend playing him because you can't tell me he's not a top 8 option, but a lot of today is on him. Our best player lost twice, we are one match flip away from it being a 1 point deficit. He's got to played, but he's got to play better too.

What is about about SS? Same issues as Woods at Ryder Cup.
Not playing Cam Young this morning was a real mistake. Length is a big advantage on the black course.
Hopefully Scottie found his putter there late because there is no way he sits tomorrow and he needs to go 2-0. Bryson needs to come out strong tomorrow as well. He had some putts barely miss that could have swung the matches. Hopefully Henley and Burns sit tomorrow. Xander, Cantlay and Young should all play twice. Not sure if JT should play in the morning. He was terrible in foursomes, but contributed in fourball. I don't know what you do with Morikawa, English, Griffin, and Spaun. Who do you pair them with? Which 2 of those 4 do you sit?
The captain should also use his brain and tee him off on the right holes in alt shot

The Euros didn't make this mistake with their 4somes bombers.
Also think giving him better partners would really help. He's not had a strong partner yet.

Yes, for about an hour the US had a path to the comeback. The cool thing about this format is you don't get bonus points for making it close on paper through 10 holes.

Bryson, Scottie, Young, Xander, and Cantlay are almost assuredly all playing in the morning. Who else would you play in foursomes and how would you pair them?

My ideas for tomorrrow. I'll admit I have no idea of player dynamics... like two players not liking each other, etc.
- Play Bryson and Cam together in the morning. It goes against conventional thinking of pairing bombers with iron strikers... but I like the idea of our two long hitters playing together and one of our hottest players playing with a guy that needs to light a fire. Par 5s would be a joke to these two. Plus they are both used to playing shorter second shots and scrambling from long drives that miss.
- Sit Scottie for the morning. He doesn't like foursomes... let him go do what he does to prep for an afternoon of crushing the field.
- Play JT and Cam in the afternoon leading off against Rahm and whoever.
- I love to see Spaun and Cantlay together. These two dudes are so mentally tough.

If you were to draft a 16 man team out of these 32 players. How many on each side are left off? 3 or 4 Euros?
In the modern era (ie the expanded international team to full Europe - 1979), there have been 5 Sunday comebacks. One 1 point, two 2 points, and the two miracle 4 point ones by each side. Big picture, they really need to get this within 1-2 tomorrow.

And I think that covers 22 RCs, so needing to come back at all means you are behind the 75-80% 8ball.
It's okay to just say/admit that the Euros are just better in a match play format…. It is about 1 point per match and not a 72 hole marathon. It's why The Cat Was bad in foursomes/fourball and Scottie doesn't preform at his best in this entire format. The Euros have always had a bunch of dogs
