That's good on Koko. Despite what announcers are saying. If 2B runs at Koko, she either draws a throw to 3rd or runs home for a super close play at the plate. Live and die by the base path agression, but it paid off there.

chicken move by the Cocky 2B. She was just fishing for interference there. That was not a natural play. Umps got it right.

The defender has the right to the ball. The defender does not have the right to initiate contact. The runner can run in front of the defender as long as the runner does not make contact with the ball or defender.

The flipside is that it's the runner's responsibility to avoid the fielder. Again, great job by the official to get that right in real time. Many times that's an automatic interference call.

I know I am being picky but pretty sure when interference is called that is delayed dead ball and the batter is awarded first and runner is placed at base by umpire discretion. I don't see how Amari gets a fielders choice and the 2nd baseman gets an error
