Let me rephrase; I think a lot of the talent at the positions Dallas needs help at the most will be gone by the time we are on the clock again at #76, especially at those three positions.

Crazy how bad Stephen is at "managing the cap" You'd think that a team that perpetually seems to be up against cap challenges would usually contend too. But no not this organization.
The only thing I'll say in opposition to this is that we have been contending. Over the past 3-4 years we've been right there with the best NFC teams in the regular season.... we just have very little playoff success to show for it.
That 2022 team beat the dog crap out of Tampa in Round 1... and in Round 2 we had a great gameplan for SF on the road. Bad luck once again strikes as Tony Pollard goes down early (who was our best offensive weapon all season along with CD).
We rebounded in 2023 with a potentially a better team. Had more really tough season ending injuries (Diggs, Overshown, etc.)... overall had a really great season with yet another terrible playoff loss.
I'm not arguing that this team, specifically the Jones's, doesn't have issues. But we have been competitive, we've just been completely snake-bit for 30 years.

Gotta think Cleveland is in no position to negotiate with him. They're terrible and need to rebuild. I think he gets traded. Too much smoke

Other than signing Parsons, I gotta imagine they didn't free up $50M+ in cap space to sit on their hands. Currently sitting at ~$53M under the cap.

Guessing Parsons will now want more than Crosby got with his deal yesterday.

Agree but it takes 2 to tango. Dak and Micah and their agents aren't dumb either. They know the longer they wait the more money they can get.
Jeanty will go before 12 and then Jerrah will pull one of the second rounders at 12 and say "statement pick" and throw guns in the air....jr15aggie said:
I have a feeling... and I'm hearing some talk to back it up... that RBs are going to go earlier than most anticipate in this draft. Starting to get a little uneasy that there is going to be a run on that 2nd group of RBs and it might be over before Dallas picks in the 2nd.
For me that 2nd tier list is Hampton, Johnson, Henderson. If we miss out on this group, I think we miss our chance to get a starting RB. Plenty of good backs still left in the draft, but I think that puts us back to a RB by committee situation instead of having a featured back.
Not the end of the world, but it's pretty much what we've been doing for the past 5-6 season. I'd definitely like to add juice at RB if we can.
I think we could easily take an RB off the scrap heap and pair with Dowdle just fine.jr15aggie said:

Dowdle is a free agent. Only RB on the roster under contract is Deuce Vaughn.

Parsons swears up and down he only wants to win and would sacrifice a few bucks for better players. We will obviously see if that's true or not but I'd be willing to trade him if he holds out for the biggest Pyle of money.
