The only time I have ever seen them busy is around the holidays
Sadly the College Station location usually has more cars in the parking lot than the two locations in the Dallas area I have been by. Maybe online sales are keeping them afloat?

Plans to build Schulman's in Bryan were first announced in 2022. At the time, city leaders and the business both shared that construction would be complete in the fall of 2024.
Almost a full year later, it's still not ready to open, and Deputy City Manager Hugh Walker said they don't know when it'll happen.

You can't tell me that the Hall didn't print money. Building was forever old and no updates, always packed, not a ton of employees. Only open a couple nights per week.

Harry's was pretty much always packed, had concerts all the time, and it was literally just a warehouse with a bar, feel like the expenses couldn't be too terribly high.
Building/leasing a large enough venue in a prime location is a lot more expensive now.
Rent and insurance is insane for anything like that around here.
True. Still such a shame they got rid of Harry's. All for some dime-a-dozen apartment building
Something big time wrong with the financing on that project I suspect. Stopping work partially completed is never a good sign.

A music venue with a decent restaurant near campus, that allowed for dancing on the weekends, would kill in this town. Finding the right location is the tricky part.

Gonna need to do it either in Bryan or outside of city limits to have a chance for success.
Here's a thought: that athletic training facility in Millican that Ty Warren owned went out of business. Turn it into a live music/dance hall.

Anyone know what the plans are for the old FedEx location at Stasney and University? There was an Asian restaurant that had announced plans, but that has been a while. The building is looking run down now and become an eyesore.

There has been significant work being done on the lake shore adjacent to the building recently. Drove in a bunch of steel beams and build a retaining wall, then backfilled. Fairly close to the building.
Not sure if that was all part of the original plan as there was some shoreline stuff planed, or if there was erosion concern that needed addressing before continuing with the building project.

They had some delays with the boardwalk and about have that complete so they can commence with building construction.

The official seafood restaurant of BCS. I actually went there once in college and never again. I've had one filetofish from McDonald's as well.
