Well I went to LJS again yesterday. Still very busy, people waiting on tables, cars lined up through the parking lot, etc. Staff was hustling, food incredibly hot and fresh. It was also hot in the restaurant. Still working out the kinks with the new building, I guess.

It's shocking to see the amount of traffic they're getting after how dead the old location always was.

I for one was terrified of the old one

Went to Wings and More tonight for dinner. My wife and I immediately noticed that the ranch tasted different. We brought this up with the manager when she came around. She went back to the kitchen and found out that they tweaked the recipe within the past two days and we were told that we were the first people to notice and say something.

We were not told what was changed but it didn't have the strong ranch taste almost like it was diluted. I would advocate that if you notice/don't like the change to say something as management does pass the reviews up the chain. When they changed their mixed vegetables within the past year it was complaints that got them to change it again.

It should be noted that wings and more was brought out by a private equity company so of course they are changing things to maximize profit.

Since when do they have mixed vegetables at wings n more? French fries and celery?

I feel like they changed it a while back. The taste wasn't that much different, but it was more yellow. I had that happen at two locations. So something definitely has changed.

Not good news. I haven't been in a few weeks. Which location was this?

When did that happen? Pretty much only ever get fajitas, margaritas, and creamy jalapeno when we go there, and I don't remember any changes in the last several years.

Thanks! My wife is allergic to jalapenos so I'll sub some serranos and give this a try for the 4th!

there are many copycat recipes all over the internet, youtube, tiktok, etc. ---all very similar with slight variations. you can tinker with it and even if it's not exactly chuy's, still end up with a really good spicy ranch dip

chatgpt or your favorite AI engine will probably aggregate them all and give you the best or most common recipe and suggestions to try.
