I 2nd the Nam Cafe nomination
What about Pho? I have not found a good place. Nam is OK but seeing if there are any other options.

Was driving south on Texas near Planet Fitness Tuesday afternoon and saw what appeared to be a banh mi food truck parked in that area. I think it was called BFF's? I saw the words banh mi on the truck. Didn't see any people lined up and couldn't tell if it was just parked there or was serving.
I think that truck is tied to the Vietnamese restaurant in that strip, so likely just catering? But I'll def check it out.
Stella announced that they brought back the sourdough bun for the banger burger (now the "1802 burger").

Nam Cafe also has excellent Pho.
Has anyone tried Vietnoodle Pho and More? It's on Texas Ave in the strip between Outback and Walgreens.

We tried it because my kiddo liked the place that was there before. It wasn't bad, but it seemed a little pricey for lunch.

Thanks. I will check it out. Funny how many places are located in that small area. Korean place and the sushi place.
Update, I tried it out for lunch and my vermicelli bowl was great. Very fresh!

Oh never heard of them. Thanks for this. I'm suddenly finding out there's like half a dozen Vietnamese places in town I've never heard of or tried.
The McAllister's location at Rock Prairie and 6 is busy every time I go in. Thank goodness!

McA's probably cost about a 1/3 of what it took to build/operate Varsity and their monthly nut is much smaller.
Dinner at Casa Mangiare last night. Excellent atmosphere and quiet enough to have conversations with a party of 10. Menu is pricey, but food was very good, as was the service. Would recommend for special occasions.
Century Square should work on their exterior….
We finally made it to Poche's. Somewhere along the way, I had imagined it to be more of a formal type place. Nope, very cajon decor just like you'd see in south Louisiana. I had the crawfish etouffee and wife had the shrimp and grits. I thought the etouffee was very good and wife liked hers although it was way too big a serving for her. Also had their garlic bread and hushpuppies. Hushpuppies were good but different from any we've had before. Prices, particularly for lunch, seemed reasonable to us. The young lady waitress, who is taking her victory lap before going into the Air Force after graduation, was very friendly and provided very good service. We will definitely be going back.
Went to The Owl Pub and Grill in downtown Bryan last night. Great experience. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Owner is an Aggie who has built a beautiful bar and grill. Thursday night was 1/2 off pints. I would definitely recommend a visit.
Had lunch at Madden's (Briarcrest CC). They had $5 margs, both Blanco & Repasado options, both were excellent. My wife loved The BLT which was very unique and came with great roasted/flash fried potatoes. I loved their pulled pork tacos (2) that came with chips & salsa. The tacos were awesome. Kudos to the chef, server & bartender. So 4 margs, two entrees for $45 plus tip. Worth every penny.

Anyone try Noe's Kitchen in Bryan? Its a burger-taco joint in a gas station. The burgers look fantastic (esp the On the Border!) from the pics (they have an FB page). Was thinking of an exploratory run but was hoping someone here had input.

Burger, wings, loaded fries, and tacos were shared at our table. Hit the spot. Would recommend. I'll try their breakfast tacos next time I'm that way.
It is truly a hole in the wall- you go into the gas station's convenience store, through the hole on the other side of the counter into the restaurant to order, they write up a ticket, you go back through the hole into the gas station to pay for your food- and buy your drinks/beers at the gas station, then back through to a table to eat.
Went to school with Noe. Good people.

Maddens for lunch. Happy it is back. Great vibe, great view & good service. I was excited to have their crab cakes again but they were bland and I was disappointed. Companion had the Cobb Salad which looked awesome and contained THREE deviled eggs! Yum. With wine it was a 65 dollar lunch but it was a special occasion. I will go again!
