Came here to post that.

Here we go. MLB is about to go kaboom. Not just betting on games but actively involved in racketeering and money laundering. These won't be the only guys.

No doubt in my mind that games are being rigged across sports.

All of sports are having this come up. With DraftKings being in bed with ESPN and being actively promoted with sports, the hypocrisy is staggering.

To work out of his hole? To keep him going? To give him incentive to not go to the FBI?

I don't know. I don't gamble and I've never found myself in trouble with a book. But I can imagine lots of reasons.

Anderson Brito pitched a scoreless inning. He's got 22 Ks in 11 innings this fall.

James Hicks pitched 1/3 and gave up 2 ER.

An infield of Paredes, Altuve, Pena, and Correa works. Any money shed needs to used to add lineup depth and pitching. I hope Crane toes the line of the tax again.

You know who makes a lot of sense if you trade Walker... Cody Bellinger. Lefty bat that can share 1B, CF, and RF. He can platoon/relieve Paredes, Meyers, Smith, and it frees up Paredes to relieve Correa. He's probably going to command more than we're willing to give.

I hope not. IMO Paredes is a top 3 bat in the lineup. He's young, cheap, & can play both corners. I understand why he has value, but his value is also highest here (short porch). Any trade is likely to mean we're not getting the best player in the deal, and it's more likely to be a package of prospects. I am not sure that's the kind of deal we want if the plan is to win in 2026.

I keep coming back to what position player do you really want to trade for? If we can get rid of Walker and Paredes plays 1B, then we still have Yordan and LF and Altuve at 2B, both of whom we would rather have playing DH instead. So do you sign/trade for a LH 2B and let Yordan and Jose platoon in LF/DH? Do you look for a LH corner outfielder who can platoon with Cam and Yordan and give Yordan and Altuve both shots at DHing? Having two guys who you can't trade that should both ideally be DHing really kind of gums things up. The need to get more LH bats into the lineup makes it even worse.

I think the org is probably okay with Altuve and Alvarez basically sharing DH with both being part-time players at 2B and LF. Plus one or both will end up on the IL during the season.
