Bengals trade for Joe Flacco. Definitely some causation from the Texans sending Baltimore to 1-4.

ESPN says it is the first intra-division QB trade since 1990.

Bengals are on a 3-game slide to 2-3, trailing Pittsburgh by 2-1/2 games in the North. Overall they are currently 8th in the playoff picture (Texans are 9th via multilpe tie breakers). but 6th is Denver at 3-2. With KC 2-3 and Baltimore 1-4, not to mention the JEts, Dolphis, Browns, and Titans basically already out of it, might as well try to hang around .500 and try to get Burrow back.

From a Bingo perspective, it slightly increases your chances of a Sheduer sighting.

DeShaun Watson remains 43rd on the Browns' depth chart at QB.

The Chiefs have a pretty legit schedule of tough games coming up - home for Detroit next week, then a couple of throwaways with the Raiders and Redskins, then a stretch of @ Buffalo, Bye, @ Denver, home for Indy, @ Dallas, home for the TExans, home for the Chargers.

Parity, man. Chiefs and Texans battling through those division-winner schedules.

I was listening to Bill Simmons' podcast this morning and it's starting to sound like the Texans are going to need Indy and Jax to really revert to the norm to make the playoffs.

IF you assume Buffalo wins the East and the Chiefs get it together and win the West, that's 2 spots out the door. Somebody will win the North, let's say that's Pittsburgh. That's 3 spots. Let's say Indy wins the South, that's 4 spots, and then you've got 3 wild card slots.

First they did New England's schedule going forward.. They are currently 3-2. Their next 8 games are:

@ Saints, @ Titans, Browns, Falcons, @ Tampa, Jets, @ Bengals, Giants.
They could easily go 5-3, 6-2 in that stretch. After the bye, they close with Buffalo, @ Baltimore, @ Jets, Dolphins. If Baltimore stays down, the Patriots are probably favored in all of those games except Buffalo and Tampa, maybe Cincy if Flacco is good.

They are super young and young teams to be really up and down, but that schedule, they could easily win 10-12 games.

That's 5 teams.

Then you've got Denver fresh off a road win at Philly, with a 3-2 records and 2 really narrow losses.

Their remaining schedule is: @ Jets, Giants, Cowboys, @ Texans, Raiders, Chiefs, @ Redskins, @ Raiders, Packers, Jags, @ Chiefs, Chargers.

That's probably 10-12 wins in there for them as well.

That's 6 teams.

That would leave the 2-3 Texans, 3-2 Chargers (tied for first put on a 2-game slide), 4-1 Jags, 2-3 Bengals, and 1-4 Ravens with Flacco all after 1 spot. Texans will have to sweep the Colts ad win the home game with the Jags. They've also still got games with Denver, San Fran, Seattle, KC, SD, and Buffalo.

Lots of assumptions and overreactions taking place there. I will take our chances with the league's best defense and two more games against the Colts.

WAY too early for this kind of analysis

The funniest part about it was saying the other three division winners would take 3 of the 7 spots So that only leaves 4 spots that the Texans could possibly get.

You don't say? You mean the exact same rules everybody already knew from day one.

OK, what do you want to talk about?

Very fine line winning games this year. One late game turn over can be the difference.

I got no problem talking about them. Talk about whatever you want.

I was just pointing out that I don't think a lot people put a lot of confidence in that kinda analysis this early.

This team just needs keep improving and get some consistency. Hopefully they're settling in but I honestly would've liked to keep playing and not have the bye this week.

under the category of hope springs eternal...

with the Ravens (Lamar) floundering and the Chiefs (Mahomes) struggling...

it could be a very mediocre collection of QB's in the AFC playoffs (outside of Josh Allen)

such that a defense-first team could win 2 or 3 games...almost on defense alone

Stroud analysis is back on the QB school for the Baltimore game. Great breakdown, as usual, of the good and some of the bad.

Kyler is out but the Cards are hanging around. Seahawks up at the half.

The Jags have the #1 rated offensive line. The past two years they were bottom 5. I think they might be legit.

They have given up 7 sacks (so far) today, and the Jags have rushed for 59 on 19 carries. That No. 1 ranking for the OL might take a hit.

Seahawks did the Texans a big solid today, beating the Jags. Could have been 3 wins behind Indy and Jax if Seattle hadn't pulled it out.

Cincy losing helps. Would be grand to have the Chiefs lose tonight, although if Mahomes could throw 9 TD passes in that loss would definitely help out my fantasy odds.

Will post a Texans bingo update late tonight, even though no Texans.

Texans Bingo Update 10-12-15

Well if you're one of 3 people to pick Colts <7.5 wins this year, you're going to need them to go 2-9 or worse the rest of the way after they improved to 5-1 on Sunday.

On the flip side, if you picked the Ravens to get the #1 seed or to have the best overall record (the tie-breaker), things aren't looking great. 11-0 would get them to 12-5.

The Jags finally lost a game, but still on pace for 11-6.

Cowboys are on pace for 6-11. That's a shame.

Big day for The Achane - now up to paces of 1,105 yards and 17 TDs; his squares are 850 and 12.

Myles Garrett was held without a sack for a second straight week and his pace dipped to 11 (square is 14)

In the individual matchups, Baker Mayfield is now about 150 yards ahead of Jared Goff in passing yards, but Goff is still up in TD passes , 14-12.

We'll have to wait for Monday night's games to be over for the rushing stats since Bijan and Cook play.

Ja'Maar Chase rallied to a nice game. He's on pace for 1,354 yards. Justin Jefferson was on a bye, so he's still on pace for 1,527.

Texns about to enter a tough really tough stretch of @ Seattle next Monday night, home for San Fran, home for Denver, home for Jacksonville.

They get a palate cleanser of at Tennessee on Nov 16th, then get further proof the league hates them when they play at Buffalo 4 days later.

October 20-December 7 is a stretch where could fall apart and go 1-7 and would be probably grateful to get 4-4.

@ Seattle
SF
Denver
Jax
@ Titans
Buffalo
@ Indy
@ Kc

Yikes

Dallas radio just said their sources at The Star say the Texans called Dallas with an offer to move up, but the offer wasn't good enough for the Cowboys

How long do you want to ignore this user?
if you took Von in Texans Bingo, he's up to 3.5 sacks and his square is only 5. He's on pace for 10.

Bijan Robinson had a huge game last night and is the new rushing comp leader at 1,618. Next year we'll just have to do everyone pick a guy. Barkley is now under a 1,000 yard pace. Cook didn't score a TD last night.

A little look around the forums shows KSJ going scorched earth on every thread the other person has posted on. Unfortunately the other person appears to be a sock with about 30 posts so who knows if they'll ever get the $ back.

It would appear that one of the posters is trying to post to seem legit. Random bump on threads but making reasonable comments. To boost the trustworthy status on texags. Then this poster, likely ripped off, is now trying to get justice.

Yeah, the ITEAg post was very random and had zero to do with the conversation. I was gonna ask him wtf he was taking about…last year draft or this year draft (even though the draft order isn't set yet). Then I realized he was probably just a bot or fake account for scamming purposes.

I'd flag all his posts, at least it will bring it to the attention of the mods and maybe they can look into it / nip it in the bud.

Yes he's boosting his post count to make himself seem legit so he can scam more people on the ticket exchange forum.

That Travis Hunter draft pick sure looks like their owner forcing it to happen and the coaches having no plan for the guy.

The idea to use him both ways in the pro's is asinine. He should be learning how to be an all pro at corner and then once he gets to that level then you allow him to play some offensive packages. But, luckily for us, the coach looks clueless.
