He probably thought he was in a functioning justice system. MoCo judge could have easily put the alcohol provision in there, or arbitrarily decided it was a violation after the fact, without the defendant knowing.

Nah…I am sure alcohol was involved when he was arrested the first time and part of his bond was that he would be tested for drugs/alcohol randomly and he got caught drinking.

So far, the Texans backup oline is making some holes in the running game vs the mostly back ups for Minnesota.
Mills misses a TD as I type. But, I'm really liking what I see from the offense structure so far.

For running the backups on the first drive, that execution was pretty flawless. Hardly any pressure on Mills on his drop backs

The OL, albeit against back ups and a vanilla defense, looked good and applied pressure, that is promising.

That's also mostly our backups on the oline too . Ersery is playing LT. Fisher looked pretty bad at RT, but the line looked pretty good overall and it actually appeared like they wanted to run block

Whelp this will be an interesting rest of the game. Houston is running mostly 3rd string after the 1st drive. Hopefully there will be some fun rookie highlights or something

What were your thoughts live? I have a lot of hope now for the offense based on the design and (probably) basic calls that were being made.
For how dysfunctional they were last year I was expecting a lot more Benny Hill style moments in the first preseason game, so that was a pleasant surprise on execution from what I could see.
Was definitely encouraged by the schemes and play designs compared to Slowick

Interesting note on our defensive backups, we went up against 9/11 of the starters on offense on that first drive with 0 starters on our defense (some even 3rd string) and held them to a field goal. That's an eye opener for me.
I think our offense only played 2 starters Ersery (out of position at LT) and Andrews at Center, and then they were out after the first drive. So that was a good apple to apples comparison since most of their defense was backups too.
For those that didn't watch the game, the only thing you'll really want to catch on replay is the first offensive drive, unless you're looking to track a specific player.
