Bill O'Brien also went to the playoffs and won. That's not much of a standard and at this point the bar is higher than that.

My point is this team is a mess all while the HC, coaching staff, and players are all different since the Culley/Lovie era. Yet not much has changed on the field.

The one common denominator is Nick Caserio.

Way too many optimists out there, fellas. Only myself and WES2006AG picked the 3+ losing streak square, and were thus rewarded 3 weeks into the season.

Of course very single one of us picked them make the playoffs, and I'm the only one who didn't pick >9.5 wins. Things need to really turn around.

Caley was just as much a Caserio hire as it was a Demeco hire. He's a NE Patriot guy who was there during Caserio's tenure.

He runs that NE offense that only works with the best QB to ever throw a football.

Everything is the problem with this team. The GM, the HC, the coaching staff, and the players. There is not one thing with this organization that is worth keeping the status quo.


This is spot on. So many Caserio and Caley connections, not to mention retaining this OL coach. No way that is coincidence.

Caserio must go.

Caley was not Demeco's hire, definitely Caserios.

They both told us (fans) to stop worrying about the O Line. That is on both of them.

Texans have given up the 6th least amount of points on defense. I can't fault the defense much when they carry the load and are constantly on the field because the offense can't convert a 3rd down.

What I'm hearing is Demeco did not want to hire Caley, but Caserio pushed it on him and convinced Cal not to offer the money to Chip Kelly.

Demeco and CJ are also butting heads.

Starting to sound like Deshaun and BoB all over again.

Ersery - 35.3
(61st out of 70 in OTs)

Tomlinson - 24.0 (that may be one of the worst scores I've seen for a Guard)
(66th out of 71 Guards)

Andrews - 70.4 (6th out of 35 Centers)
Ingram - 50.9 (46th out of 71)
Howard - 68.2 (25th out of 70)

60 is a league average score.



Interesting, the Reddit post didn't have the correct scores, but it looks like Ingram and Howard are the only 2 serviceable OL so far

CJ hasn't done enough to be butting heads with anyone. It's the curse of when the first year goes well, you think it'll be easy.

Everyone knows the OL is trash, but damn it feels like CJ hasn't practiced since year 1, that's how bad his regression is. There's no way CJ is putting in the work on or off the field and still looks like this. Hes not working on mechanics, or spending extra time in the film room to get right.

In the end, that's on both Caserio and Ryans for not leading CJ better, but dude is lost out there.

No disrespect, but anyone faulting the defense needs to watch more football. No defense in the world can be on the field as much as these guys are with zero long drives in between and play mistake free, especially after losing Stingley and another member of the secondary.

Like I said last week, even if the Texans had the 20th best offense right now, they could easily be 2-1/3-0. Instead they are dead last in the league in points (12.7) and fourth to last in yards, ahead of no-QB Cincy, rookie QB Tennessee, and Old Man Rodgers in Pittsburgh.

Rams scored 14 against Houston, and then 33 against the titans and 26 against a 3-0 Eagles

Bucs scored 20 against Houston, 23 against falcons, 29 against Jets

Jags scored 17 against Houston, 27 against Bengals, and 26 against panthers


the defense has held all 3 teams they have played to season lows. They are not the problem.

you cannot expect a defense to hold a team to a single score every game..it just wont happen

the offense has been craptacular and are the sole reason for the 0-3 start

Maybe 1 win a year for 4 years?
I though that was a good strategy though. A couple of people did that in Astros Bingo. We went the whole year without getting the 8 game win streak, but the 6 game losing streak is looking very possible.
