For most of the season, CBS and FOX alternate days they can air games in both slots. There are two weeks this season where both teams will have doubleheaders (see link below). Last week, it was CBS' turn, this week it's FOX's. Local stations can pick from a slate of available games to choose which one to air. Personally, I would have preferred Lions/Commanders here in the Houston area this afternoon.

Credit to the players and coaches for not quitting on this game. After the disastrous beginning, I almost changed the channel several times. In theory, this keeps their season alive.

Counterproductive win if we're not making the playoffs but the 4th quarter was a lot of fun regardless.
For all the mockery, which I am often a part of, that was really special to see Davis Mills get that ovation. You could tell he was feeling. Being the white nerd backup quarterback to the supposed top-tier younger quarterback and coming through with that kind of finish is something none of us could have possibly dreamed of, and yet here it is.
If you had told me yesterday that Davis Mills was going to have a 14-yard TD run in the fourth quarter, I would have assumed that made the game 35-7 Jaguars. Now you're 4-5 and at the Titans next week, then a short week to get to Buffalo. Two days ago, that seemed like a loss before the Bills got stomped by the Atrain.
Still have some very winnable games out there - @ Titans, vs. Cardinals, vs. Raiders. If you get those 3, your're up to 7 wins. that means finding 3 more among Bills, Chiefs, Chargers, and two with the Colts.
Obviously the Colts look pretty ridiculous right now, but their defense sucks and they've played about as easy a schedule as anyone so far. Even a split there gets you a tiny bit closer to the playoffs.

Another skill position player? They just drafted the Iowa State receivers and Woody last year. Sure, I would love to have a home run hitter at running back or tight end, but unless they spend a lot of money on free agent linemen, they have to take a lineman in the first round. It is their biggest need without question.
Tanking isn't good for your franchise unless you're starting over, which we aren't doing. Psychologically, that isn't good for your team. They will likely miss the playoffs and finish somewhere in the middle, which should afford them the chance to draft a really good line prospect who can step in and play right away. Maybe two of them. That is what they need the most.
Tanking would be very bad for culture. You are basically telling the team, who's been to the playoffs and won the last two years, that they aren't good enough.
OL will be a big focus, again, this offseason. Need to sign an OG/C in free agency.

Tanking doesn't help the guys there now learn how to win. You still have to do that as a team. By all rights, they should have probably been thinking about tanking at 0-2 to start 2023 after so many bad years in a row. Instead they won the division and a playoff game
Can this team make the playoffs? It doesn't seem likely, but the conference also doesn't make sense right now. Indy, Denver, and New England all 8-2? The Patriots are the ones who scare me. Smart coach, exciting young QB. Doesn't seem fair for them to have those 2 things again so quickly.

The team is in a really odd place. Arguably put together a championship level defense. Have a QB that you still think has the potential to be a top 10 QB. Receiving corp is OK, but you already have the big piece in Nico. Woody has added a spark at RB. Basically, it's a pretty damn good team except for the OL. But the OL is so bad that it's wrecking everything else.
Because of that, I don't know what they should do. Outside of the OL, Caserio has done a pretty good job so I'm not sure he deserves the axe just yet. Maybe an OL consultant to help with that one position group? Seems like if we could just figure that out, we're in good shape.

Daboll out. Between him and I'm assuming McDaniel will be available as well, there should be a couple of options there for OC next year. I think that would help tremendously.
