If Houston signs Dobbins then Pierce would be released. There's other guys on the team who can return kicks. He'd also allow Houston to reduce the load on Mixon. Mixon was great last year, they don't need to run him into the ground. It would also be cool since Dobbins is a local guy.

He's gone. No way DeMeco and Caserio keeps him around. He was irrelevant anyway once they added CJGJ, but he's old, expensive and often injured. Hopefully this allows them to dump with minimal salary cap implications.

That's my point.

DeMeco is between a rock and a hard place. He's a players coach, but you can't give an inch in stuff like this. I'll let the facts play out, but between Jimmie's diminishing role and the headlines, I'm very bearish on this.
