Terminal C looked bad earlier, but it took us about 15 minutes to make it through the PreCheck line. They were announcing no wait at E.
The security line took us 3 hours and 37 minutes. Probably another 45 to check bags before hand. A terrible day for the airport.
AA checkin this morning took about 2 hours in terminal A. The weather did a number on redirects. TSA precheck went smooth as silk…about 3 minutes from line entrance to security exit.
I can't believe how lazy people are not to have pre-check. If you fly more than 3x/year it is one of the best 10mins waste of time in your life.

Didn't even look at normal security line. Was just happy to get through the AA check in line. FWIW, I was already checked in on time. They then cancelled my flight and renewed it a couple minutes later. Then it said that I had to check in at the airport. Pretty damn frustrating.
Pre check didnt help at Hobby today. 1) it was closed most of the morning. 2) when it did finally open you weren't allowed to enter it until you worked your way through the security that started in the basement amd weaved out into the parking garage.
Have it. Didn't matter today.

That's okay. The fewer the people that has pre-check, the better.
You don't want it to be like the tollway - everybody has a toll tag nowadays so it can get pretty congested.

Was supposed to be on 7:30am to DFW tomorrow. Saw all of these reports and said **** that, pushed two meetings, and now I'm on the 4:40.
Walked into terminal at Hobby at 4:58, through pre-check by 5:06. Long maze line already set up, so they are expecting much backup later.

How far did the line extend. Were they al least able to keep it from spilling down the hall back toward the ticket counters?
It was all contained in the usual queue spot at that time, but you could see they were planning for it being much crazier later
Just went thru Terminal C. It looked like a mad house but made it through pre check in 10 minutes. The Clear Pre lane was moving much slower and it was just busy in terminal in general with all the spring breakers. United Club was waaaay worse than TSA this morning. Walked in and walked right back out.
Clear has been rendered basically useless by the high-fee credit card companies and their lack of employees, or TSA ignoring the employees. I've stopped using it and just go right to TSA Pre or United Priority if they have it.

At IAH Priority lane is faster than everything. Same for a few others...ATL has the most legit priority lane in the general TSA section. It has ZERO in it b/c it isnt advertised. When Pre and Clear are running 30 minutes the priority lane is 1 minute.
You must tell me where this priority lane is at ATL! I'm there at least 4x/year.
Also, when it isnt a gov shutdown the pre touchless ID is clutch too
In Termimal A at 10:30am on Monday. Use the south security. The North one only has one lane open.

Picking a family member up at hobby and the line is all the way out the door in the arrivals area. And it snakes around outside too. Hoping for the best for all of you flying out of there.

Cancelled my flight and drove. Didn't feel like getting caught up in a potential ****show since my gate was in E and they're slow as **** even on a good day.

We flew back in this morning to Hobby and landed around 8:15am.
The regular check in line was for Pre-Check and CLEAR only and it was full and snaking out in the central area but had not backed up to baggage claim or outside. It looked like only 2 or 3 lanes were open.
Anyone with a regular ticket was sent down the escalators - and I never saw what that looked like.
Ok, i have two options, and I'll probably be able to get to either airport around 5:15-5:30pm on Thursday night and I do have pre-check.
1. Flight at IAH that leaves at 7:50pm
2. Flight at Hobby that leaves at 8:25pm.
Which one am I more likely to make? This is a flight I can't miss.
