Picking a family member up at hobby and the line is all the way out the door in the arrivals area. And it snakes around outside too. Hoping for the best for all of you flying out of there.

you always pick up at departures thought everyone knew this.

SWA turnstiles are completely full. TSA looks to have opened early and is processing passengers.

3:35 AM: in security (poor man) line. Looks like they opened early. Line is all the way back to the entrance of the que, but not spilling out yet.

Finished security at 4:15. TSA flew in scabs from DIA and other airports to assist. It's going to take a few days for this to unwind itself.

Precheck at IAH C at 0415 this morning had no one in line. It took me longer to walk through their ropes than it did to actually get through.

Flew out of Hobby this morning at 8:15. Got there at 6:15 and the TSA pre-check line had a whopping 7 people in it. Most all security lanes looked open with little to no wait.

Through Hobby security in 10 minutes at most. Looks like we're through the worst for now.

My daughter has been in line at AUS this morning for over an hour so far. She probably has another 2 hours now and will miss her flight. To her credit, she's keeping her cool.

I checked both Houston airports and they are normal - 5 to 10 minutes.

Flew to Japan last Saturday out of IAH and minimal wait in Terminal C pre check line.

Arrived back yesterday and went from deplaning through customs to my car in 20 minutes. Global entry was flying again.

Glad to hear IAH seems painless - have a 12:20 departure tomorrow

Last time I flew from AUS the wait was stupid (this was last June).
I just think that airport can't handle the traffic.

I went through terminal C twice this week with no issues.

Some of my family got stranded in AUS on the way to Orlando. Seems like Florida is closed. They got booked to Orlando for tomorrow out of Hobby. They flight from AUS to HOU is already 2hr delayed. Also hearing due to wind only 1 runway at IAH is open.

Wife's friend is stuck in Florida right now. Was supposed to fly to Houston today to come stay with us.

Flew to Orlando yesterday, my flight was delayed 3 hours. Other flights cancelled. Was told all airplanes at Orlando were grounded due to weather, so they were spacing out incoming flights. Very rough flight.

Only gonna get worse I imagine. DHS also said some airports may get closed.

I've got a flight out of HOU at like 0430 on the 28th that I am hoping won't be bad due to the time. No checked bag and probably not even a carry on so hopefully that helps. Have clear and pre as well so fingers crossed.

They're probably driving uber and dropping them off in the lines so they have some money coming in.

Bit of irony

My family flew out of Hobby at 230 today. No issues getting through TSA. They only had carry ons.

Don't go to terminal E today. It's a cluster****. Over two hours at this point. The TSA pre lined was wrapped around who knows what and they were sending general screening to a line downstairs.

I moved over to terminal C where it seems more normal.

Got to the TSA pre line in terminal c at 8:00. Thru security at 8:20.

Sorry if this has already been posted... but I don't travel/check this thread much.
I am flying out of IAH - Terminal E for a United domestic flight tomorrow and need to check a bag.
Is it possible/logical for me to drop off my bag at Terminal E and then take the subway to a different terminal to go thru security? I have to bag drop at my departure terminal, right?
I have TSA precheck, but checking the wait times, it looks like Terminal E does not have pre-check open and the wait times for security are much longer at E than the other terminals.
Thanks

That is exactly what I did today. I Dropped my bag at Terminal E then went to C once I realized how ****ed the line was at E…then walked back to E. I pretty sure you can both check bags at C and do security at C and walk over to E once thru security.

I'd just check the lines via the website in the morning and make a call for C or E as you can check bags at either terminal and its an easy walk between the 2

Terminal B said 15 minutes. And the line was to the door. I paid for Clear instead of waiting. That's the news in the middle, sadly none of the girls from the other thread.

Not for sure, but someone on r/Houston said for international flights you have to check bags at your departure terminal. FYI

If you are United you can check your bags at C or E and formerly B no matter where you are going.

Depends on if the *******s that work at Clear are actually doing anything. If I didn't have it for free, I wouldn't have it at all.
