Took me about 30 min to get through precheck at C. Started in line outside. The non precheck line was longer and it didn't even look like those security checks were open. Honestly looked they were waiting in line for nothing…

I'm seeing only one day with no availability to dallas.
Got in line at 9:30 since they were going to close TSA pre at 10:30. Well it was already closed still standing outside in terminal C. Everybody else has to go to e and a.

Honestly this is very much TSA driven. I don't travel weekly but still at LEAST once a month and normal security is ~5-10 minutes for precheck.
I'm flying to Denver on United on 4/23. I'm tempted to change from IAH to AUS. I live in College Station so the drive time is not much more to get to Austin.
Opinions? I know AUS has had its issues, too.

I can't see this lasting another month. There is already some capitulating from both sides going on right now.
Anybody know / experienced security times today relative to the IAH security lines website? Fairly accurate or just a guess? Today seemed to be a step change for the worse with the anticipated times.
A side effect to this is the off airport parking shuttles are a mess. We usually park at the Parking Spot 2 on Will Clayton with no issues. Today there have been two shuttles so far come by C completely full because no one is getting off here.

Thanks I have those websites, my question was around their accuracy, specifically today (at IAH)….thx.
From what I've read on social media the times are pretty accurate except for the precheck times, when they don't say "closed".

There were no Premier Access or equivalent lines open when we went through last week. One line for everyone unless they reopen Clear.
Next time look into JSX.com hou to Las Vegas is about $1500 rd trip and you have a special tsa program

At some point the lines have to stay tapering off right? I booked a flight at 10:15 pm. On purpose. Thinking that any issues with the lines would be resolved towards the end of the day. There just aren't many flights that take off after 10pm. But wait times are still 4.5 hours. I guess I will just head up now.
Nah, there were two reg security lines when I went through. Could have changed since then. I got dropped off by rental car shuttle, went upstairs, checked my bag and walked straight into a TSA line that wasn’t full.

It's nuts that it would be faster to fly out of Austin or possibly even San Antonio than IAH due to these lines.
