For you 1K and Global Services people. If you're flying out of IAH and have a United boarding pass with 1K or GS status, there is a special security line at Terminal C with no wait. They are also allowing a parent with a carried infant (NOT 2 year olds). @_ZachGriff @OneMileataTime @evan7257 pic.twitter.com/kGDEq1AxjW

I'm telling you as someone that has been to both airports this morning. Hobby is the way to go.
For whatever reason, TSA staff shortage doesn't seem to be impacting HOU like IAH. A flight later in the day is going to be just as bad/long of a wait as first thing in the morning I think.
To compound the problem further, media articles on security is causing people to line up way earlier than perhaps even needed, further causing congestion.
TSA lines in Terminal A at IAH are moving much faster this morning!

We spoke to one person who is close to the TSA station after only an hour in line.
We’ve asked @Tsa_SouthWest and @AirportsHouston what’s been done to make this change.@abc13houston pic.twitter.com/GcXwImEUqz
BREAKING: Delta is suspending its special service desk for members of Congress until TSA is fully funded, per @AJC.

Why is Bush so bad and Hobby so easy? I have flown every week the last 3 weeks out of Hobby, Baltimore, Las Vegas, and Memphis, and it was business as usual.

A couple weeks ago people were getting to Hobby 5 hours early and still missing their flights because of security....

For the last 3 weeks as stated I have personally flown out of Hobby and have not seen it. If it happened it was rare and they certainly fixed it fast, and that is the point of me asking.

Just made it thru security at A in less than 5 minutes. When I first walked up to the security line I thought it was closed because no one was there but walked right in.
Wow! The lines are dying down at IAH with wait times at 20 minutes and 3 minutes for the two terminals open. Much different than the 4+ hour wait times we saw this morning and afternoon pic.twitter.com/ammZpNvfwr

I can confirm the 1K/GS going thru C. The lady next to me on my flight this morning went thru C as a 1K member. She said her security line was literally 5 minutes long.
I've heard rumors that SW canceled a bunch of flights this week, so that may be contributing to the ease up on the security lines.
I will say, when I went thru A, technically everyone was standard screening, but it felt a lot like a pre-check. They were telling everyone, do not remove anything from bags, don't take off belts, etc. It felt a lot like they were trying to expedite. Maybe I'm wrong, but it definitely felt they were actually trying to get people through.

I used to be 1K … but back to Silver now….. is it worth the risk to try Terminal C on that line this morning?
Or stick with E?

And how does one know if the 1k/GS line is open at all on a particular day?
