Curious what took you to NK? Not a political question at all. Only asking as I spent a bit of time at the JSA in 90s while in the Army and always wondered about NKsince it seems unlike any other country in the world.

Getting some posters from the hotel.

I'll just let your interpretation of my below post speak for itself. Its always funny to see a poster take an obvious figure of speech and make an asinine point

I am assuming that is for me.

I went to NK in 2000 representing a US Senator who had a large contingency of South Korean Christians give food stock and corn seed to NK during this massive famine,

I ,with an assistant, a German Ph.D were sent to try to see where this went and who would get it and report back. None of the South Koreans dared to go.

It was like no place I have seen before or sense. Incredible oppression, And all those who were there for humanitarian reasons were kept in the same hotel, with army garrison next door, We went was heavily controlled and choreographed. We were not allowed to engage with any people, And they avoided us (clearly out of fear) when ever they saw us.

We were in Pyong Yang, the center, And when we came back from our respective areas we compared notes. and one of the things that we notice is that when we calculated the number of people that we saw that might be 50 years of age or more was less than 50 total!!!

Even the army guys next door were quite thin,

Unbelievable poverty and oppression and fear, with a constant broadcasting of military music and propaganda, It was fricking surreal!

So just like the United States under Trump? Or are the posters here who call Trump "Dear Leader" just idiots?

Theil has been pretty clear that any foreign intel ties would be secondary. He stresses he thinks its US intel ops Epstein was involved in, citing the Acosta revelation. He makes the point its less likely that foreign intel would be the reason for the plea deal in Florida....that it would more likely be domestic.

He talks about the intel ties being more significant and more of a smoking gun than the sex ring stuff, which he claims was more of an elite club to get ahead and be part of the deals...as opposed to a lucrative blackmail racket.

This is an amazing turn of events. Will anyone admit that they were manipulated and pandered to for the sake of their vote? Trump and his advisors have used Qanon against the Qanon and those adjacent.
If you say you hate the state of politics in this nation and you don't get involved in it, you obviously don't hate the state of politics in this nation.

OPAG, thanks for answering. Pretty interesting experience. I don't know what the Koreas are like today, but South Korea was fascinating. From Pusan to Seoul, the whole country seemed geared for war with missile systems and AA guns at airports to all the ready made defensive positions on highways and the hills. Was always interesting doing PT with the ROK Rangers. Those guys wee incredibly fit and some of the stuff they did seemed like borderline hazing. Tough soldiers though!

Numerous victims told us about Ghislaine, not reviled institutions. What no one is talking about is on the Newsmax BOD. Alex Acosta, and why he gave Epstein a slap on wrist.

Not only sweet for Epstein but also for all his co-conspirators. They were all granted immunity to prosecution after the plea bargain deal. That is until the feds finally acknowledged the victims weren't told of the deal and they had to reopen the case. It would be fun to know who told Acosta to stand down and give Epstein that sweetheart deal.

Yep, its the smoking gun everyone glosses over. The feds discussed leniency for Epstein, who they admitted belonged to them. More Americans are aware of a usless birthday card.

If only all the files were released, and if necessary, further investigations were done, then the truth would finally be known.

Dershowitz noted on Clay & Buck's show that no one gets 20 years for what she was convicted of. Epstein was dead, though, and the public needed their pound of flesh.

You will note that she was moved from Florida to Bryan immediately after talking with the ADA for two days straight. This was a bone to her for talking, moving from a low security facility to a minimum security one.

Dershowitz is full of it. The sentence was within the federal guidelines for sex trafficking multiples minors.

She was Epstein's #2. Played an integral part in the sex crimes.

Feels more like big news coming on Russia hoax and this is a "reportedly" based article / tweet with no sources or confirmation.

Could they be redacting? Sure and it would be a poor poor look. If they want to do anything, they could add context or footnote certain information as poorly sourced, unconfirmed, confirmed false, etc.

Feels like the Epstein and Russia issues are going to be competing for the news cycle for the time being.

Update on the sudden Maxwell prison move before her impending congressional testimony.

"Blanche has not yet commented on the contents of their discussion, but Maxwell's attorney Markus said Friday there have been "no asks and no promises" about clemency."

"Federal Prison Camp Bryan is a federal minimum-security facility in Bryan, Texas, housing nonviolent female offenders. The institution's focus on rehabilitation offers a considerably less restrictive environment compared to traditional prisons. Certain inmates are allowed participation in off-site work programs and benefit from greater autonomy, though they remain under strict supervision."

Sure appears as though she's being rewarded for something, doesn't it? (We can't do clemency right now, but cooperate and we can make life considerably easier for you.)

I was on the bypass in Bryan the other day and noticed some women walking to the two hotels nearest the exit to that prison camp. It looked like they were maybe doing cleaning staff stuff for the hotels. Maybe they were prisoners doing work.

I think you vastly overestimate the differences between low security and minimum security.

It's not like she went from solitary at a super max.

My money is on either a specific threat or more likely for either regular rotation (this practice has been noted) or medical care, though Bryan would not necessarily be a destination for that. FW or North Carolina.

To jump to this as an intermediary to clemency is quite laughable.

Between the newsmax clip and the Maxwell shuffle, I'm convinced they've decided this will be an experiment to see just how flexible the maga base is.

And to my prior post in this thread, yep, they really do just think we're all stupid. They may be right.

Who knows? I don't. You sure don't. The complete lack of the promised transparency regarding her and Epstein only serves to create suspicion about the timing of this move.

It only creates suspicion if you live under the impression they are up to something nefarious.

Particularly when any "news" on this spins it in the worst possible scenario regarding Trump, their standard modus operandi.

I think they are confident the "MAGA base" is intelligent enough not to change their vote on a dead pedophile / conman and his conspirator girlfriend.

Now, MSM thinks the masses are dumb and placate their CM, lib, TDS watchers into thinking Trump Epstein Coverup will finally slay their Orange Dragpn.

For decades, Maxwell pressured, cajoled, bullied, and forced teenage girls to be raped by old men. I find her actions horrific, much more than those of the old men committing the rape. Just imagine the number of young girls whose lives Maxwell destroyed. I don't believe there is gong to be any rehabilitation going on.

Maxwell was alleged to have participated in the activities, not just coordinate them. But I don't think they had the "proof" for that.

Indeed. Probation Services recommended 20 years, prosecutors were asking for 30-55 years, and her defense was asking for less than 20. Dersh needs to get his facts straight, as all these documents were found in a matter of minutes.

We know that she also engaged in at least a few sexual acts with these girls. Any dude that did that would be in hardcore prison.
