You seem to have a reading problem. Look, read the post you replied to.
Trying to play some gotcha game is making you look foolish.
Not an argument.
You stated: "Again, I continue and have always supported full unredacted release or no release at all. So no this doesn't satisfy me in the least."
Massie's HR can be found here, not sure if you've read it yet. Please find a criticism of the bill or stop responding. I believe this is the closest we're ever going to get to full transparency on this issue.
https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-resolution/581/text
Condescension aside, I did read it and as I suspected before reading it Section 2(c) results in nothing more than you are already getting. Now I question if you read it.
I don't know how I can be clearer. And I have said it before. All materials, every last pixel, page, paragraph, period, person. Unredacted. And I mean none.
Anything short of that results in the endless back and forth, which you seem highly committed to, regarding how much is enough.
Not sure what your infatuation with Massie is. Again, he gave so many options for exclusion that even the stuff they have released would be more than he allows to be excluded.
You fell for his bloviating whataboutme tactics. Sorry dude.
Quote:
"(c) Permitted Withholdings.
"(1) The Attorney General may withhold or redact the segregable portions of records that
"(A) contain personally identifiable information of victims or victims' personal and medical files and similar files the disclosure of which would constitute a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy;
"(B) depicts or contains child sexual abuse materials (CSAM) as defined under 18 U.S.C. 2256 and prohibited under 18 U.S.C. 22522252A;
"(C) would jeopardize an active federal investigation or ongoing prosecution, provided that such withholding is narrowly tailored and temporary;
"(D) depicts or contains images of death, physical abuse, or injury of any person; or
"(E) contain information specifically authorized under criteria established by an Executive order to be kept secret in the interest of national defense or foreign policy and are in fact properly classified pursuant to such Executive order.
"(2) All redactions must be accompanied by a written justification published in the Federal Register and submitted to Congress.
"(3) To the extent that any covered information would otherwise be redacted or withheld as classified information under this section, the Attorney General shall declassify that classified information to the maximum extent possible.
"(A). If the Attorney General makes a determination that covered information may not be declassified and made available in a manner that protects the national security of the United States, including methods or sources related to national security, the Attorney General shall release an unclassified summary for each of the redacted or withheld classified information.
"(4) All decisions to classify any covered information after July 1, 2025 shall be published in the Federal Register and submitted to Congress, including the date of classification, the identity of the classifying authority, and an unclassified summary of the justification.
Finally an actual criticism of the bill, before it was just "Massie is a grandstander and pretty much a Dem" without any actual substance.
So when you say "All materials, every last pixel, page, paragraph, period, person. Unredacted. And I mean none." you want them to include (A), (B), and (D), depicting the victim's identity, CP and death? That's pretty extreme but I admire your dedication to the truth.
I can see why somebody wouldn't like (C) and (E) but at least the end of the text you provided forces the govt to declassify said information, or at the very minimum provide a summary. Thats much better than what we are currently getting with Comer.
If you had the choice between what the government is forced to provide under this HR, and what was released today, which would you choose?
