That's what I don't understand. I thought we had a pretty good idea what was in them and who was implicated like 5 or 6 years ago….What did they expect?

I don't care though. Predators among the elites and politicians must face consequences, no matter their left or right leanings or what position they hold. And Epstein's intelligence connections need to be publicly acknowledged

The story is that they needed to wait for all of Maxwell's appeals to be exhausted, which just happened a couple days ago technically when SCOTUS denied her appeal.

So Biden had an excuse of sorts, but there aren't really any valid excuses left.

Apparently, the FBI did an incredibly sloppy examination of Epstein's cell after his death.

"Details pulled from 90 photos of the cell and other evidence collected in the hours after Epstein's death but before FBI agents arrived to process the scene appear to show a succession of basic oversights, ranging from an absence of evidence markers to items being moved, experts told CBS News."

"The FBI literally has all of the best tools. I mean, spared no expense. They have every tool you can imagine. And they used none of it as far as we can tell," forensic analyst Nick Barreiro said after reviewing the photos, many of which have never been published. "How are there not way more people pointing out the absurdity of this?"

You know it was Congress who released the additional files yesterday, released the birthday book, etc. But yeah, just one more vote and we will finally know the truth!

C'mon, just give credit where it is due. The Rs and Trump are simply the only ones who released anything on Epstein.

BTW - I notice you focused on the juicy details from last night and not the lengthy explanation from Acosta's testimony regarding the plea deal and putting much of that nonsense to rest.
